My most favourite West Indian shop to shop at. Always well stocked. Lots of variety. Everything is reasonably priced.
This store is not full accessable. I have a 5 month old and I need to bring her in her stroller because carrying her while... shopping would be too hard. I called the store in the parking lot to ask and make sure I could fit my stroller in there and wastold yes by the cashier. Once I got in there I couldn't make it into or out some of the aisle because boxes of products wereblocking the way. At one point I had to leave my baby at the end of an aisle to finish getting stuff because we did fit. Ifsomeone were to come shopping with a walker or wheelchair they wouldn't be able to fit in that store. Read more
The customer service at this place is absolutely poor. It appears to be a family owned business so one would naturally think... they would put some effort into providing quality service, but this is not the case. They are rude, aggressive, and depict anattitude of self importance. I was told bluntly by one of the owners that I should put back the bananas neatly...accused, I was throwing the bananas around and wasn't putting them back in a neat pile. Absolutely ridiculous! The idea alone that theywould expect a customer to tidy their banana shelf, is nonsensical, but then to be also accused wrongfully, when I simply pickedup 8 fingers of banana and left it the way I found it was outrageous. I voiced my concern about that behavior and was told Ididn't have to come back. This behavior appears to be a pattern of this store. I was at this very location a few monthsprior, and also witnessed another customer being wrongly accused and ?told off? by the owners. When the customer disputed theissue, he and his daughter were told they didn?t have to come back. I am all for supporting our local businesses but this isnot the one to support. Please find other west Indian stores in Durham who appreciates your business. Read more
