Fancy plates, smaller portions, and slow service when I was there in the late afternoon. Waited for 10 minutes to get my second... drink. My GF's plate came out 10 minutes before mine. Would have been a great time to ask if I wanted another drink if my foodwasnt ready. They were not busy (maybe 50% of tables were sat) and plenty of staff. I may not have minded the extra wait for myfood if I had a drink or didn't have to remind my waiter I still didn't have food. It's always great to sit there empty handedwhen the other person is eating. By the time I got my food she was done and had to do the same. Pretty hard to rate a place 2stars. You can look at my other reviews but they absolutely earned it. Read more

The food is original Mexican, fresh flavors and high quality. I will definitely come back. Mazatlán “restaurant” sucks.... Never go there. Go here instead. Read more

Where do I begin? If you want an absolute pleasant eating experience, eat at Casa Lola Kitchen, in Cornelius Oregon. To start... our meal off we ordered the Topas de Mole. Nice thick, home fried tortilla chips covered in a luxurious mole sauce, topped offwith Mexican cream and queso fresco. This was my first time trying mole, and I was not disappointed. For her entree, my wifeordered the Filete de Pescado al Tequila. Red snapper with a butter tequila sauce and served with rice. The fish was tender, moist, not too fishy, and oh so flaky. The sauce was a delicious compliment to the lovely filet. I can safely and confidentlysay that this was the most delicious fish dish I have eaten and it's incredibly simple. For my entree, I went with the FajitaNachos and I added steak. These nachos used the same tortilla chips as our appetizer, and they were perfect. The bell peppersand onions added a delicious garden fresh taste to the dish. They were also charred to perfection which added a hint of smokysweetness with every bite. The jalapenos were spicy, charred, and an incredible addition as well. The melted cheese was mixed inwith more of their delicious mole sauce and to top it off, was a lovely drizzle of Mexican queso fresco, which added an elementof creaminess to the meal. The amount of food was perfect for our little family of three. We shared our food with our little oneinstead of ordering her a meal, which still left us all full and satisfied. To finish off our lovely evening, we ordered thehorchata to go, and had the chance to taste the Arroz con Leche. A delicious, cold rice pudding. The rice was perfectly cookedand the flavor was wonderful. My Puerto Rican wife has never been able to find a rice pudding as good as her family's, untilnow. Overall, this meal was amazing. The ambiance was perfect, the food was stellar, and the service was incredible. 10/10 Read more

Ordered the pork shank and was really happy with it. Great flavors and serving size was large. I wish the dish was served with... tortillas, that would have me the dish perfect. Service was a bit meh. We weren't checked on often, and the server couldn'tsuggest or give an opinion on a margarita. Read more

AVOID It was a Saturday night at 5:30pm. Comfortable lighting, strong margaritas, and a live guitarist that was fantastic for... completing the vibe. Unfortunately that’s where the good parts stop. The staff were rude, they were juggling way too manytables and jobs. Our waitress forgot orders from both our table and the adjacent table. The chorizoqueso subsidiary was cold, and unmelted. They microwaved it again, it was worse. The Birria is terrible, tastes like dirty dishwater was used and it burnsthe mouth in a chemically way, not a spicy way. This restaurant clearly relied on drive thru during the pandemic, because theystill prioritize it over anything happening inside the restaurant. Those poor people, driving away with terrible and overpricedslop. Here is the kicker: I told the waitress about the Birria, she said “oh let me check on that”. She comes back, “ohwe all tried it, it’s fine”. And she suggested that some folks think cilantro is soapy. No, I eat cilantro every day andeven tonight - not soapy. No cilantro was added. She doubled down and repeated to my face that “we all tried it”. In theend, they comped the Birria - I wouldn’t have paid for it anyway. I firmly believe that no, the customer is not always right.I also believe that no, the restaurant is not always right. It’s a two way street. Read more

Firstly, I believe service is paramount, above all else. We tried Casa Lola for the first time a couple of nights ago and had a... fairly negative initial experience. Following that visit, I left a negative review and noted that I would update it if therestaurant contacted me to remedy the situation. Carlos and Karla both took very proactive measures to try to resolve theerrors, even noting that they were having an impromptu staff meeting to address the issues that came into play. I have to saythat it was likely the most positive customer service experience that I've had in years. The ownership here actually caresabout your experience. And where we were resolved on not returning, Carlos and Karla have convinced us to give them anothertry. In a world where service really seems to have suffered, having a response from someone who really cares about service wasa breath of fresh air, truly. Mistakes do get made, but fixing them is a real litmus test. Casa Lola stands out where servicematters. We'll look forward to a second try and update the review after. Read more

First time, came on a strong recommendation so we had high expectations. This place can cook! The Filete de Pescado al Tequila... was uniquely flavorful..delicious. One of the best fish dishes I've had in the Northwest. The Taquitos de Papa were perfectlycooked, and the potato filling came through nicely. This place echoes the ambience and flavors of a fine restaurant in MexicoCity. My only critique was our service, had some delays. Read more
