There's something special about this place. Maybe it's the historic building, combined with great food and atmosphere! Food is... always delicious and consistent. Wait staff is always courteous and attentive. Beautiful outdoor space. The inside more formaldining room is one of my mother's favorites when she visits. Reminds me of old world charm. Happy to have this as part of ourbeautiful town! My favorite is the risotto by the way! Read more
Good stuff! Got the signature burger, chickenpot pie, calamari, and some wings. Burger was as expected! Chickenpot pie was... pretty shockingly big. We don't get chickenpot pies often but this was definitely a different way of setting it. Flavor wasright but a bit liquidy and not enough filling. Overall. Still happy! Wings were great, if you're eating outside in the wind, besure to eat those quick. Becasue when they're hot and cirspy, it's delicious. Once they're exposed to the cold breeze it's morecrunchy and dry. So eat those quick! Fried calamari was good, will definitely order spicy next time, might be more flavorful. Food is consistently above the bar. Each meal comes with a side salad, the wings are amazing. I get take-out from here once a... week and the quality is just as good as if you're eating in. Best beef stew I've ever had. Essentially, everything is fantastic. Read more
Putnam house is FANTASTIC! I first experienced The Putnam House as a kid and instantly loved the atmosphere. Started going back... as an adult and still love it! The food is incredible!, Everything on the menu is delicious. This is the first Restaurant thatI took my 7 year old at the Time, where she ate her entire meal, which was the Steak Tips!(adult serving!) The staff and ownerare so personable, they instantly make you feel as if you entered their home and they can’t wait to feed you. Not to mention,in 2020 they’ve gotten me through some pretty stressful pandemic meals planning! Which I was able to feed my family a wholeweek on such a reasonable price! Thank you Putnam House!
