I was blessed at having a perfect opportunity to come visit for the first time. The day warm and windy. The restaurant was empty... expect the cook, front gal, and myself. The restaurant was so inviting for being so alone. The seats are large and cozy, thebroth was uplifting, the lemonade was incredibly refreshing... I had a beautiful experience. To add to my visit, the visualaspect helped as well. The dishes they use (cups, plates, bowls, etc.) Add to the ambiance of different colorful hanginglanterns and wooden sea creatures. First I have to start out by saying that I hate doing this. It pains me to give local restaurants, a low rating, but sometimes... criticism like this may go a long way for improvement. This was a pickup order. The pho when opened, was quite literally thesaddest pho I've ever seen. I mean I was sad, the food looked sad, we were all sad. There was less meat in the order, than in acan of Chef Boyardee. And I checked, high and low. I must say that I have been spoiled by some of the best Pho houses inRockville and Wheaton, but even still, this was a beyond disappointing experience. If the quality is lackluster, they can atleast make up for it by not being overly frugal and twice as pricey. Read more
Vy was very friendly and had great customer service skills. We really enjoyed our dining experience in this cozy little spot.... Probably one of the greatest pho places around. Lots of meat on the pho soo worth every penny. Read more
Good food, but the servers seemed a bit disorganized. Had to ask for things a couple of times, didn't know which items were in... stock in advance... just not a smooth dining experience. (What's missing from my bowl of pho?) Read more
I want to start off by welcoming Pho Viet USA to Bethesda, wish you the best of luck. I believe Pho is one of those dishes best... experienced dining in at the restaurant but these are now the times we live in so takeout is what we get. That being said Ireally enjoyed my first time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered the summer rolls with shrimp and an all white meat chickenpho. The summer rolls were fresh, shrimp were quality size and packed tight. The peanut sauce that it came with was delicious,especially when you add a little sriracha for kick. The pho like another reviewer touched on, was large in quantity. The brothwas full of flavor and they provided plenty of noodles. The part that was lacking was the amount of chicken. The quality of thechicken was very good but it was minimal. That’s why I'm giving four stars. When you're dealing with takeout you have to builda trust because the customer really doesn't know what they are getting until they are finally home and can look at the order. Ialso try to be fair, this is only a first order review. I do my best to update my reviews to keep them accurate and if myexperiences change with my future orders I will change my rating. I want to be clear, I definitely recommend trying this placebecause the food is quality and full of flavor. *** With COVID-19 restrictions lifted I went back to see how the dining inexperience was. As expected the place was very clean, the food was delicious and the service was great. They even have a smalloutdoor dining area. The food was very disappointing, we ordered 2 veggie pho - did not eat most of it. The broccoli was spoiled, noodles were just... a big lump. Veggies were really overcooked and tasted off. Ordered the pork appetizer, just alot of pepper and not great. Thecucumber on the vermicelli bowl was also spoiled…really need some serious quality control.
