So apparently we found out the next day that this is a members only restaurant. Maybe that is why the place was almost empty on... a busy Friday night. We got right in and were never asked about being members. Waiter was nice but service was SLOWWWW! Gotdrinks after we were almost done with our appetizers. The shrimp looked and tasted like it was frozen from a bag of GordonFisherman! Dinner was bland and luke warm. Best part was the dessert Won't be back and thats ok since we aren't members!!???????? We don't live in Trilogy so we don't get to The Mantel very often. But we have friends who live there. So whenever they invite... us up, we go. They have a good menu selection. The food is always tasty, no matter what we order. The staff is friendly andpersonable. Our order came out timed just right, we were just finishing our appetizer. Highly recommend The Mantle. Great little neighborhood restaurant. Tasty (casual dining) food for reasonable prices , and polite and friendly wait staff. The... only caveat being that access is limited to guest membership, otherwise we would likely visit at least once a week. Read more
Definitely the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Decided to check this place out based upon it having decent... reviews. We were welcomed in by the hostess who asked if we had reservations. We were surprised since the place didn't look busyat all. Since we didn't have reservations, the hostess told us we could sit at the bar. Then she realized there weren't anyseats available at the bar. So we left and decided to make reservations through Google for the following evening. On thefollowing afternoon, we received a call back from them to confirm our reservation but we were told that we weren't members(members of a restaurant?) and they asked us if we would like to sign up for a draw so we could then purchase their $150 a yearmembership which is required for the privilege of eating there. Needless to say, we won't be getting said membership. We havebeen to many restaurants around the world and eaten at places at $150 a plate, but The Mantel is just ridiculous. The worst ofit is a waste of time. Why not advertise that you don't want anyone eating at your place? It's that simple. There are many otherrestaurants in the area. Stop wasting people's time.
