The Minnesota Discovery Center is a beautiful location with so much to do in a day. The museum has history on geography of MN,... Iron range immigrants, history in the mining operations, and so much more. The property also has tons of historic buildings fromdifferent eras and different countries. CCC Museum was awesome with very informative displays. Geology displays would have been better if they had better lighting and... displays that worked. The movie in the theater was fantastic. It really gave you a great idea as to how vital this area was inthe making of this country. The history and ethnology of the area was fabulous. Read more
What a delightful concept - mixed open area and closed hall exhibits. The best representation of the State history is in this... Center. Clean, carefully assembled narrative highlighting the history of the State from its humble beginnings. It isindustry-centric, but what a delightful expose providing the background to honestly compare ourselves to our predecessors. Read more
I have been going here since I moved here permanently in 1998 and I have many fond memories here my grandpa worked in the... genealogy department which is still fantastic I got happily caught up there in that department for an hour while we went to thefossil exhibit, every exhibit or event they have is always so enjoyable and hands on for everyone all ages ! Everyone is sofriendly ???? not to mention all the beauty surrounding the museum even in the winter the overlooks are breathtaking , it's hugeand spacious and comfortable to wander around for hours ! So affordable we've gone here on a day we're bored and always findentertainment! Read more
There's much to see and do with the museum, trolley, mini golf, the homestead and the rest of the grounds. The trolley ride was... fun and informative with an additional little tour exhibiting the life of a miner and his family. It was very interesting tolearn about the history of the area. The scenery is beautiful. Mini golf was a nice end to the day. This is a great familyattraction. Read more
An excellent museum full of Minnesota history. The campus is beautiful with rustic replicas of the homes that the early settlers... lived in, beautiful landscaping, and a Civilian Conservation Corps exhibit. The main museum building has an abundance of historyabout the labor movement and early mining. The Redhead mountain biking trailhead is also nearby. Off the beaten path and wellworth a visit. My family and I had a great visit to The Minnesota Discovery Center in October. We learned a lot about the iron range, the... history of mining, and the history of the native people and immigrants. I think our visit would have been more enjoyable duringthe summer season, but the exhibits we saw we're fantastic. Read more
