This place has the best carne asada nachos. I was in San Diego for 10 days and tried carne asada nachos from a different place... everyday. The nachos from Cotixan were by far the best nachos in the area. Read more

This was my first time here despite living in southern California my entire life. But when you have a family member ask you for... a delicious, fat breakfast burrito, you turn to Google Local Guides. And I would say y'all didn't let me down, and neither willthese burritos. Cotixan is one of those quintessential Mexican food spots that you really have to try at least once. Now that Ihave however, I could see stopping here anytime I drive by one. That is how good these burritos were. Oh and the salsa was bomb,the red one at least. Not a huge fan of green salsas anyway, but it was actually pretty good compared to others I have had. Read more

Great ?Codie? fries... haha. That?s what we used to call them in 1997! The salsa bar was solid. The service was good (maybe... could?ve been a little more prompt). They didn?t complain though I was barefoot from the beach. Also got a chicken soup, somefish tacos, and some carne tacos. Amazing that this spot is open at 3am and delicious AF! Read more
Chicken tortilla soup is the Best. They don?t have a salsa bar but give corn (or flour) tortillas, a container of onions and... cilantro, fresh lime. Plus a handful of salsas. Lots of chunky chicken and veggies. Other places have given me the soup only andI have to ask for all that Cotixan provides. Had to drop it down a notch 11/26 after ordering Chicken Taco SALAD. Service wasawesome, but there were about 7 thin strands of lettuce. Next time I?ll ask for more lettuce, less beans and fat. Undeniablydelicious (yummy salsas) but I truly wanted SALAD with chicken and a wee bit of beans, sour cream, cheese, guacamole ( wasdelicious!
