For a buffet, food was good quality. better than old country buffet in quality but fewer items. Service was quick and... businesslike. Gettysburg memorabilia was interesting. My husband and I were in Gettysburg for an over night trip and we decided to eat here. It was the best decision we have made!... The atmosphere, employees, other patrons and service were 100% spot on. The food was hot, delicious and belly bustingfulfilling. We would definitely recommend and we now have a new spot for dinner! Was seated quickly considering how busy it gets there. Food was fresh and service was excellent. Was constantly being checked up... on. Price was reasonable for the offerings. I preferred the lunch personally but dinner is still good! If you dine there often,grab a frequent diner card. Buy 10 meals, get the 11th free. I stop every time I am in town and definitely can?t wait for mynext visit! Read more

I went as a school group and the workers were not very friendly. They were very strict but I understand that they were busy and... wanted to get the point across of how we need to go. I think that the layout could have been better. One of the bars was veryclose to the wall and made it difficult to move around it. They table were close together which also made it difficult tonavigate. The food was good but I don't know about the pricing as it was a school trip and the chaperones had paid for it. Iwould also make sure to make a reservation as when I went it was very crowded and I don't think you would get in quickly withouta reservation on a busy day Read more

Arrived, to empty restaurant. Were told after hesitation that they would not be able to serve us due to a bus coming in. Okay, I... get that; but perhaps a sign should be placed at the door to say Closed for Special Event or some such. Not acceptable. I hadstarted a video bragging up this establishment but not any longer. Don?t bother wasting your time to just be rudely turned awayonce inside. Read more
If you are ever in Gettysburg PA, and love buffets as much as I do, YOU gotta stop at General Picketts Buffet???? All home... country cooking with the BEST customer service you will ever receive, which is what I strive for when going anywhere! I couldn'tbelieve how every single employee was so friendly and helpful and genuinely kind! We will definitely be coming back here everytime we pass through Gettysburg, which isn't as often as I'd like, now that I found this little home away from home! Read more
