I visited this beautiful little restaurant during a trip to the sunshine coast in early August 2022. Sushi is my go to, I have... dined at no less than 50 sushi restaurants in the lower mainland over the past 15 years and can can say without a shadow of adoubt that Sushi Bar Nagomi is the best I have ever had. I don't mean that one particular dish was the best, every single dishwas the best version of that dish that I have ever had. It was a bit on the pricier side as far as sushi goes, but as soon asyou try the food you won't care. I am genuinely struggling to recall a dining experience where I came away feeling moresatisfied than I did at Sushi Bar Nagomi. Restauraunt was clean and inviting, our waitress was wonderful and attentive. If I winthe lottery, I'm moving to Gibsons and eating here every day, 100% serious. Read more

I always order a real crab roll from a sushi restaurant to see what they are about. It was a little disappointing. $13 for one... of the smallest rolls I've ever seen. One thin strip of cucumber and the same of avocado, throughout the whole roll. Which isfairly weak. But it was extremely small. The 2 end pieces had almost no crab at all. Sorry Read more

Fantastic sushi! Our sever was super friendly and informative with their sake menu. (Yes! They have a whole menu dedicated to... sake?don?t skip it!) I can?t say enough great things about this place. Food is top shelf. The sashimi doesn?t get any morefresh. Highly recommend the negitoro roll?best we?ve ever had. Spicy tuna crunch roll hit all the right spots. And I loved theirtake on gomae with the avocado. Refreshing and delicious. Even the miso soup is worthy of mentioning. We would?ve triedabsolutely everything if we could have. If you?re in Gibsons, or just passing through, definitely stop in. You?ll be so happyyou did! Read more

Decent quality sushi. Mediocre presentation. Coming from Vancouver the quality/price ratio isn?t great. We?ve ordered 2 sushi... sets and two miso soups that altogether come to almost $50. Additional star for friendly staff. Read more

I was visiting from Toronto and on a sushi craze. I went to this place two days in a row while in town. This is one of the best... sushi places I?ve been to while on the west coast. I only had the chirashi bowl. The fish was very fresh and had a nice bounceto the chew. It wasn?t half thawed or mushy like other places. The service was very friendly. This place is run by a niceJapanese couple. Would highly recommend if you?re passing by. Read more

I'm amazed that there is an authentic Japanese restaurant on the Sunshine Coast! Found this place on Google and we were not... disappointed. They had clam chowder croquette which was SO GOOD!! My friend and I also shared salmon sashimi (super soft andbuttery), the sunshine roll, tobiko nigiri, spinach gomae, and the tuna tataki salad. Everything tasted so fresh anddelicious. My friend also ordered the sake flight. For $18 you get to try three different types. Read more

Wow, what a delightful place, the atmosphere outside is great-but inside you feel as if you step into a different world- into... well, a Japanese restaurant in Japan. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food very good. I had tuna sashimi salad,tako-yaki and salmon-tuna don, and of course a Kirin Ichiban beer- same as I had a couple years ago in Osaka.
