Menu for Homestead Inn in Greenwich, CT

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had in a public place. My husband and I spent $2,000 on dinner and then were accused by... the hotel owner, hotel manager, valet and chef for losing our own car keys when the hotel has a valet. After nearly an hour ofsearching, the staff found the key under the tire of the car and we had to push the car forward to find the key - but not beforethey had accused, demeaned and humiliated some of their best, most regular customers. They lied to us several times during thesearch and said that the car made the “no key present” sound as they approached. There was no offer to comp part of ourdinner. No kindness. No sympathy. Restaurant was excellent, unfortunately, the Inn was outdated, therefore, overpriced (for about $300 a night on weekdays). The... furniture were too big and overcrowded the small room, bath tub was old, and decor/style was questionable. Also, there were waytoo many artificial plants and flowers throughout the Inn. Service was great and we enjoy our meals. We would love to comeback... just for the food. Read more

Really disappointing service. Not at all what you'd expect of a Relais and Chateaux property. We stayed at the hotel on a Sunday... night, when the restaurant was closed. The concierge was unable to offer us any local restaurant recommendations or offer us adrink, beyond the bottle wine list. The room was not vacuumed adequately, the shower was clogged and the water temperature didnot heat up in the shower. Our room was small and the bathroom was very cramped. I called after our stay to share our experienceof the hotel--the person that I spoke with was unable to transfer me to a manager or the voicemail box of a manager. I shared myconcerns with her and she responded by getting defensive, blaming the staff and saying that I should have complained earlier.She said that I would receive a call from a manager. Instead I received a generic email asking for feedback. I shared myconcerns in an email over a week ago and still haven't received any response. Read more

This restaurant sources amazing ingredients, so all the food is spectacular. The decor is warm, charming, and old world without... being outdated. The service is impeccable and not overly attentive. No loud music to scream over. Thomas ranks at the level ofcelebrity chef, but he is approachable, and very nice. Read more
