I've always liked Popeyes. Years ago, a friend told me the one in the Town of Herndon (closest to our house) was the best in the... area. I have to agree. This one is further away and it just feels a little off. Most others do for some reason. Maybe it's thelevel of cleanliness, or the discipline (or lack) in the kitchen. Kids love their fried chicken. Consistently crispy and delicious fried chicken, but many times the fries were soggy and tasted... like they were cooked in old oil. They're very stingy with ketchup, and if I asked for extra sauce, they'd give me just 1 morepacket. Drive thru tends to take longer than other fastfood places. Read more
Great, clean, friendly location. Food was great and the service was awesome. Very clean and well kept location, big plus for... fast food. Everything was very fresh and tasty, plus the Mac and Cheese was better then at most sit down restaurants. Smallside note: most is great, but the staff seems to argue a lot and in public. Friday 10/7/2022 @ 8:30 pm After a very long and challenging day I stopped by the drive thru which had no line at all and was... told rudely by a female voice to wait. I patiently waited for about 5-10 minutes then I heard a female voice talking to anotherfemale colleague in Spanish and I initially thought she was addressing me so I said "Hello, excuse me" to which she rudely onceagain said Wait! Tired of the unnecessary rudeness I parked my car and went inside to order the food to go! There were 3employees working the front. Two ladies (one blond and one dark haired lady who was at the drive thru) and one young man. Both ladies had a nasty disposition and were giving me horrible looks which I did not care for much! Bless the young man who wasvery helpful and was polite serving me graciously and in a timely manner which I was grateful for. The blonde lady come to hiscash register and since I did not give him the cash payment yet as he was preparing the food I offered her the cash bill to payfor my order but she flat out ignored me and my extended hand with the money in it! Lord knows I wanted to ream her out and callher out on her blatant rudeness. I believe she is a supervisor or manager by her haughty and snobbish attitude. None of thatmattered since she's clearly ignorant and uneducated in all other ways! Can't even follow the simple rule of treating yourcustomers with courtesy and professionalism. Both ladies desperately need customer training and if they can't handle customersthen they have no business being there!!!! Please talk to the drive thru lady (mainly works weekday lunch hours), she is always rude when I pick up my online order at the... drive thru window. I work here locally and rather drive a couple extra miles for lunch during Monday through Friday due to herconsistent rude attitude. Mind you, I am never requesting for additional items, I simply provide my name and pick up my order,that's it. Every other staff are perfectly fine in the store, it's just that one crummy employee. Literally the worst Popeyes I've ever dealt with. As a 7 year veteran who has had the privilege of experiencing good food from... Popeyes-even while stationed overseas- this place in particular is a joke. I have never written a review in my life- but Icouldn't let this one slide. The food is consistently cold every time. The staff is rude and consistently unorganized. I can'tbelieve that they even know what management is- muchless utilize it. Complete lack of effort, zero competency, weak minded,subpar, bare minimum excuse of an organization. It is my sole effort to get this "restaurant" replaced by a KFC. What a sadlittle place. Ok, it's fast food. It's good because it's the best spicy chicken tenders in the area and the sauce choices are great. But... that's not the big thing this year. We decided to go all casual for Thanksgiving and we did "PJs and Popeye's" we got thePopeyes Cajun Turkey. It was a bit expensive at $54 for a 14 pound turkey but we had to try it. Final rating 4.5. It thawed outin just over 3 days (plan ahead), warmed up in about 2 hours, and the dry rub coating was really good!! It could have used alittle injection of seasoning into the white meat, but otherwise was executed well. I did not have time to make gravy out of thedrippings, but I'll do that for leftovers.
