I got the sampler platter and a side of coleslaw. The chicken is excellent. Well cooked, great flavor, and very tender. It's... very good. Everything else, including the chili, is entirely forgettable. At least it was for me. I did a pickup order and theydidn't include any sauce. That's right, BBQ platter with no sauce. This means the pulled pork and ribs were dry and mostlyplain. The ribs were slightly undercooked though that might be by design. As for the coleslaw? I didn't get. I was charged $5for a side and never got it. I even included a 15% tip even though it was pickup. I called into the restaurant and was told Iwould be refunded and contacted after that happens. I was not contacted but they did process the refund. Still, the chicken isgood and perhaps this wouldn't happen dine-in. If you go, don't do takeout and double check your ticket to avoid theincompetence I suffered. Read more

We have eaten at the Waimea Cottages for years. Really enjoyed it - until now. When we eventually got the food it was good. But... otherwise pretty disappointing this time around.
