It's truly tragic that this new chef under this new ownership doesn't understand the amount of salt that should be used on... Middle Eastern food. I have been giving him chance after chance and each time I've eaten there I have walked away disappointed.His tabbouleh is way too salty, his chicken shawarma is way too salty & his baba ghanouj has nowhere near the flavoring andspices that it should have.. I think he's trying to cook Middle Eastern food with a fusion flare but he's failing... Theambiance is great, better than it was under the previous owners, but the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be under theprevious chef and definitely not worth the hike in price. The wait staff is lovely but I can tell they're not thrilled to workunder this new ownership.. I will not be going there again.. Read more
I just had to write this review in the midst of eating this amazing food. My sister, her boyfriend and I drove down to... California from Canada and I must say this is by far the best Mediterranean food ever! Clearly beats my moms Iraqi cooking forsure ????. The place is very welcoming, clean and amazing service. I rarely give bad reviews unless I think a place deserves it. The food itself was either bland or over seasoned. The flaffels... were bitter and the chicken shawarma over spiced with either too much curry or Tikka Masala. The portions were way too small. Iwould not return here as the food didnt have any Mediterranean taste. Read more
Incredible and authentic Mediterranean Bistro. I came here with a friend who is middle eastern, and she was a fan of the home... cooked styles served fresh. There?s a wonderful variety of food. We tried the lentil soup, Manaeesh, Hummus and Kibbeh withbeef. If you?re unsure what to get, I suggest the Mezza sampler to get a range of tastes, and if you eat meat, the Kibbeh iswhere it?s at. I love food that speaks for itself, and this is where food does all the talking. We opted for freshly bakedBaklava, which had the perfect amount of sweetness to the delicate pastry. Wonderful meal. Upstairs is outdoors with some view of the ocean (worked for us). Babaganoush was very tasty and a fresh warm... pita. Moroccan Carrots were flavorful. Chicken Shawarma Pita was delicious. Merguez Lamb Burger sauce was flavorful. In all, wereally enjoyed our meal. Very friendly, helpful and quick staff. Read more
