Superb quality from beginning to end. The reputation of The Horse Inn lives up to every expectation. The opening cocktails at... the bar were top notch, followed by excellently executed dinner entrees. The burger's reputation as the best in Lancaster Countystands up as well. Tender and flavorful beef cooked to a perfect medium and crispy yet soft interior fries. My wife's crab rollwas also very flavorful with hints of lemon and herbs perfectly balanced. My only regret is waiting so long to dine here. Highlyrecommended. Don't wait! Read more

Dined in the Horse Inn for the first time since the pandemic. We had a great meal (daily special fish, and a burger) after a... nice cocktail, and with wine/beer. The food was excellent (especially recommend the Horse Fries!), and the service was spot on. I have to say, their draft beer list was good too - can't pass up a draft Maine Lunch! We will definitely be back, especiallynow that they take reservations. Read more

They are first come first serve which can mean longer wait times during peak hours but it is worth the wait. The Horse Inn... cheeseburger is one of my favorites! I had the people pleaser cocktail to start and then switched and had the wildernessdisorder which I LOVED! Read more

A friend and I went to celebrate their birthday and it did not disappoint! It was busy at 6pm and they said it could take up to... 40 minutes to get a table for us so they took my number. We were able to get a drink while waiting and within 10 minutes we gotour booth which was an old horse stall! The food was fantastic, the cocktails were fabulous, and there was someone playing thepiano. I can't wait to go again! Read more

First time visit to Horse Inn and it was fabulous! Unique selection of dishes that are more than their "names" imply. The "ham... & cheese" had housemade pimento cheese and collard greens with bacon. Super tasty. The cheese burger was excellent, well preparedand much more than you would find other places.Really good, crispy French fries. Beautiful setting; booths are horse stables.Friendly staff. ???? 2 important points when you go: * They do NOT take reservations so choose your time wisely or expect towait. Our wait was only 15 minutes. * Parking is difficult. Permit parking only on their block. Small lot down the street getsfilled quickly. You may have to search for a spot. Read more

This is a very interesting restaurant, It is hard to imagine that maybe the owner of the stable a hundred years ago changed the... function and made it a restaurant bar. There are many items in the restaurant that were once used in the stables and they havebecome decorations. Food and wine are also very special. I like restaurants with character and atmosphere. i will come again. Read more

Charming speakeasy atmosphere with historic touches. Popular place for good reason. Gorgeous cocktails (Pistol Under the Pillow... and Fast Track) scrumptious food and fantastic, friendly service with a sense of humor at the poker table. The sweet cream icecream was best I have ever tried. Reservations recommended. Even the overflow parking was full, but we found street parking twoblocks away. Steep stairs up to the restaurant/bar.
