Saturday 11/05/22 review. After a couple of hours of fishing at the pier. My grandmother and I stopped here for dinner. ... Saturday nights at a restaurant can be busy? so I called to see how long the wait was. Luckily, there was no wait as the dinnerrush already passed. (Time 7:30pm) My grandmother and I were seated right away. Let me praise on our server Rachel. She was theideal server with pure customer service. Very attentive to my grandmothers needs along with the other tables in her section. Sitwith her and you won?t be disappointed. The food definitely gave me a food coma (in a good way), the crabs were meaty, my fish nchips came out hot and my French fries were crisp. Very high recommendation if anyone is in Delaware. Stopped here because it was on my way home, and boy am I glad I did. The all you can eat crabs were delicious and I had a very... kind waitress help to teach me how to get the meat out of the crabs since I had only done it once before a long time ago. I willbe coming back in the future! Read more

Surfing Crab has the best crabs. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Sonia is wonderful. Have been coming here for years and... look forward to dining there. It is a T shirt and jeans type of atmosphere. There was a comment from a reviewer about it beingWalmart clientel? not sure what is wrong with Walmart but I sat behind that reviewer and he didn?t want to pay his bill becausehe was trying to be cheap and feed his wife and son/daughter by only paying for one all you can eat crab serving. We had an awesome crab dining experience! The waitress went out of her way to assure we could have our extra large crabs. ... Thanks to a very dedicated family owned operation and cool supply chain management as explained, this crab house remainsauthentic and cares deeply about their clientele. The Surfing Crab is a wonderful down-home crab place that serves incredibly wonderful, fresh food in large portions. It is the... place to go for Steamed Crabs, with brown paper-covered picnic tables, and rolls of paper towels in air conditioning. Each tablehas a complement of condiments including a large shaker of Old Bay. We got the Crab Cakes which were heavenly! Huge lumps ofbackfin crab, seasoned just right, with no filler. The succotash was made with fresh baby limas which were no doubt grownlocally, shoepeg corn, with diced tomatoes and purple onions. Absolutely delicious! The service was quick and friendly. Anothergreat thing was the parking. We were toting a 21' trailer, and there was a whole grassy area to turn around in without backingup! Don't pass by this gem! Read more

A nice hole in the wall spot for good crabs. I would recommend calling ahead to reserve crabs if that's what you plan on... getting, they run out quickly. The crabs are quite large depending on the size and location they came from, however larger crabswill inevitably cost more. Although this is a quaint place, the prices are not. Plan to spend money if you're eating here. Thedining area is picnic tables, with little room between them. There is outside seating available, but the highway runs adjacentto the seating, not ideal for a hot summer day. Our service was friendly and attentive, Tyler was fantastic and very timely withdrinks/appetizers/crabs. We probably will not be regulars due to the price, but we will be returning. Read more
