We were a family gathering meeting at the restaurant for the first time. We were served by Omar. The service, the food, the... atmosphere, the cleanliness, the care... everything was superb! They have increased their prices significantly due to risingcosts of doing business, so that was ok. My only feedback would be that now that they have increased the prices, they shouldupgrade the furniture. We wanted to stay longer but for the elders at the table, the chairs became somewhat uncomfortable aftera while. The place could be modernized. Otherwise, a pleasurable experience and we will return. Incredible food + the best hospitality in London! We walked into The Shish for the first time the other night and were greeted... with such a personable and warm welcome. Co-owner Sam was so enthusiastic about his establishment + team, generously offering ussamples of specialty vegan items (mouth-watering grape leaves) and really just took the time to get to know us and connect us tothe food that they offer. Everyone working here was just so friendly and really make you feel at home, the young lad Omar whowas building our wraps was polite and knowledgeable. I went to the shish for years since it opened in white oaks area and lately when I go back I am reminded of why I stopped. The... service is horrible lately. Especially the owner. The food is even worse? I asked for garlic with my shawarma plate and he washesitant to give me some. I asked for hummus on the side of ordering a plate, large fry, and grape leaves. And was told I haveto pay extra for every cup I get. The chicken is tasteless. The grape leaves have NOTHING in them. The grape leaves used to bemy favorite thing there. I am so disappointed. This is our go-to place when we want Manakeesh, Falafel, Hummus or Babaghanouj. We're Vegan and my son is vegetarian so there's... always plenty of options when eating Lebanese cuisine. The restaurant is pretty clean, my only gripe is that the tables areusually sicky. Other than that, very clean. Taste is on point. Much better than their competitors in our opinions. Service istop-notch. Always greeted with friendliness and a smile. If you have an issue with your food, they're quick to make it perfectfor you. The last thing I'll touch on is price. The price is absolutely amazing. We ordered a medium babaghanouj, 3 manakeesh'sand our total after tax, including a 20% tip was $27!! Can't beat this place. My mom is a regular here, she loves this restaurant. The other day she took me to it and it was quite good. The chicken and beef... are not overly greasy like in other Shawarma places and everything tasted really good. I totally would recommend giving it a tryif you haven't. Read more
