I came here for Sunday brunch. What a disappointment. I know people love an all you can eat buffet but the food here was... mediocre at best. The crowd was so large that we had to wait for a table even though we had a reservation. They never refilledor were slow to refill dishes ev$n though we were there at noon. The food stations were often filthy, the eggs were cold, andthe hash browns looked terrible. The staff was friendly though they all looked pretty harried. There are many wonderful placesto have brunch in D.C. but this is not one of them. I am genuinely surprised this place gets great reviews. Perhaps some peoplevalue quantity over quality? Read more

A fancy yet dressed down restaurant with an eclectic wide-ranging menu that includes everything from Chinese food, to Italian... food with fresh pasta, to fried chicken with donuts. Donuts. If you look on the Google maps, all you'll see is pictures ofchicken and donuts so I had to try it. I am very versed and chicken and waffles and the key to chicken and waffles is mixing thesweet with spice. And you do that by adding hot sauce to your chicken. Eating it with your waffles with syrup. It's no differenthere. They provide their own homemade hot sauce as well as a white gravy. I went with a large group, everyone tried somethingdifferent and everyone enjoyed what they liked. We also tried a lot of the appetizers and also enjoyed all of those. Theservice was great and our waiter recommended some of the best items off the menu. I really enjoyed the vibe and it was a place Icould hang out at all night. They also had a bar with a large selection of both beer and wine. They distill their own liquorsthere. So if you order vodka or bourbon, your choices will be limited often having to drink only theirs. However, I did enjoytheir liquor quite considerably. Read more

Absolutely delicious. A smorgasbord of goodness. The only downside is that my stomach wasn’t big enough to eat everything I... wanted. Also - waitstaff was great!! AND they have those cool pay at the table checks, very convenient and easy to spilt a bill. Read more

A bit high end but the prices reflect the quality. We stopped here for dinner Saturday the 18th around 730. Our server Justin... was great providing suggestions for cocktails (made with their own liquor) and food. We ended up doing appetizers for dinner anddrinking a few rounds of delicious cocktails favorites included the bread platter, the barrel aged old fashioned and the bourbonmaple smash. After it was all over we wished we had ordered from their excellent dinner options and hope to come back and trymore of their excellent food. Read more

We were staying at Hampton across the street, and decided to try their happy hour at F&D. Prices were good. Staff was excellent... & really hustling. We didn’t have to wait long for food and drink. The spicy pork riblets were just okay - not much meat. Hereally wanted the hot dog ($6) and tater tots ($4), but they didn’t have them. Huge disappointment. I enjoyed my shrimp springroll & Margarita (wanted it sweeter, though). The Margarita packed a punch! Or I’m a lightweight. Or both! I would have triedthe other Spring Rolls, but hubby wanted something more to eat, and nothing on the menu appealed to him. Oh, well. Can’tplease everyone. Read more
