A Mother’s day treat that could have been better. At the reception Young ladies showing an attitude and not making you feel... welcome or addressing your questions. As a Mother’s day, women should be supportive of another instead of disregarding you. Ididn't come here for this but to enjoy great food at a great restaurant with my treasured family. The waitress did her best butfailed my order. One male waiter and the lady manager came to our rescue and my Cod was scrumptious. They turned the situationover and made us feel welcome. This place was recommended to us from a friend who said if I like clam chowder I should go if I'm ever in Newport. I don't like... clam chowder, I LOVE IT!...even the cheap stuff out of a can....I know ???????. This place was amazing. Great service, greatlocation, great clam chowder!.... wish the bowl was 10 times bigger though ????. The swordfish tacos were awesome. Wedgesalad also very good. Overall great spot to hit up. And a BONUS....the owner is a huge sports fan and has a waiting room fullof super old and cool baseball memorabilia! ??. Two of us ate and drank for 115 bucks plus a big tip cause our waitress wasreally good. Well worth 40 bucks a plate. We will be back if in Newport again. This restaurant is very nice. We had a table outside and the view was astonishing. The food is prepared quickly and tastes very... good. The Benedict eggs were slightly spicy, but still delicious, the clam chowder was good, and the oysters were fantastic.Fish and chips were usual. The spot was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon, really busy at the top floor. First come first serve seating too. Pablo Escolar... roll was excellent and I highly recommend it along with the Soft shell crab sliders. The downstairs bar and area has theoutside patio area with the view of the boats. And God created the Cannery Seafood of the Pacific... ???????????????????? This is hands down my best meal in years travelling... the US. I just can't believe my luck! Congratulations to the chef Víctor Soto???? Every dish is spot on with flavours, spices,sweetness, acidity, freshness. Octopus and scallops are cooked to perfection. Had dinner reservations to meet friends of ours at dinner. They are regulars and have come here often. They said what happened... is not the norm which is why I gave them two stars instead of one. We had the displeasure of having Keri G as our waitress. Shemust have been having a bad day. She not only was rude and short with us but did not know the menu at all. When I asked about adrink ingredient , shown above she said it was fruity flavor. Luckily we asked the bar tender who explained it was gin. The foodwas alright and the atmosphere was ok.not worth the money we spent Several hundred dollars of mediocre food. Don’t wasteyour money. Keri didn’t bring us anything without us having to ask for it, never got anything for the table. She wasn’tlistening to us and then would yell I can’t hear you. It was not that noisy she was just impatient. I can’t recommend thisplace because based on our experience, we’d never come here again. Especially when you pay as much as we did for food.Everything is at least a $20 entree and valet parking is $6. No parking in the lot. I sincerely hope that the management takescare of the problem with the waitstaff before it negatively impacts the business.
