The ambience, our waitress, and the location were all 5 star. Our food was prepared in an instant! I had 3 tacos, the fried... avocado, the cod fish taco, and a Baja fish taco. The latter was delicious and clearly the winner although the avocado taco wasa close second. The other cod taco had bone pieces in it, which took away from the experience a bit. My wife opted for the fishand chips. The taste was there but just a bit too greasy for my liking. We also ordered the chips and salsa appetizer withguacamole. My wife and I laughed because it seemed like we got the bottom of the bag as our chips were mostly crumbs. However,overall we had a very pleasant experience, as our waitress treated us like we were neighbors :) We will likely come back. I willget 3 Baja tacos next time. Read more
Great decor, cool looking spot 1 block from the water. Service was pretty good. Got 2 of the fish and chips and the fish lunch... platter and the the fries were cold on all. Had a banana somethin drink and it tasted nothing like banana, watched the bartenderspill half the jigger on a bloody Mary and call it good. Drinks were very weak and overpriced but the fish was good and hot onall choices. Best thing was the appetizer-the ???? bowl w tortilla chips. We enjoy Hello Betty tremendously! We happened upon this restaurant the first time. We were looking for good fish and chips.... Hello Betty delivered and then delivered again! The fish is firm with a crunchy batter that is not greasy or clumpy. It's theway fish and chips should taste! We also tried the shrimp and chips. Same light batter coating that has a great crunch. Bothdishes were fantastic flavor! The staff at Hello Betty was friendly and fast. You could tell they enjoyed working at HelloBetty. If you are looking for a great fish and chips, skip the place in Pacific Beach and drive up the coast to Hello Betty. Youwon't be disappointed! Read more
I’ve eaten here several times now, and they have my favorite tacos in Oceanside. The restaurant is walking distance from the... beach, so it’s perfect if you’re heading to the beach or leaving the beach. They have a great drink selection (with arooftop bar) as well as surprisingly good dessert options. I highly recommend this place! Read more
This is near the boardwalk in Oceanside. Mostly tacos and beer. The chowder and a trio of tacos were all fresh. Expansive... seating area and does not feel crowded. There is rooftop seating but with only a limited menu up there. Read more
This restaurant is amazing , food and customer service everybody was friendly and helpful especially THOMAS shout out to you ! ... our waiter I didn't know the bartenders name but He is really good at what He does as I don't drink much and wanted mostlyfruity and He created an amazing drink so thank you. We ordered alot of food to have leftovers at the hotel , and because wewere curious how great they were because we have read so many great reviews and they didn't fail us. AMAZING food worth theprice and the drive. It was a great start to our getaway, handsdown we all thought the BOMB NACHOS were not only THE BOMB butthe best thing on the menu aside from the Fish and Chips. Though all the food is good from the tacos to the tuna melt we tried.I definitely recommend this place if you stay in downtown Oceanside or if you want to try a new restaurant by the beach. ????
