Positives: Staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciated that they were wearing masks and the restaurant is take out only.... Good variety. Negatives: The food is clearly not fresh nor stored properly as it was the worst poke I?ve ever had. It tastedhorribly and worse yet, caused GI upset. Not much special here... I assumed being the owners of Okura that the same quality would translate over but it simply doesnt.... The salmon is good, but the ahi not so much. Some stringy pieces make it less than satisfying. Also, the rice is fairly bland.Most places if they have decent food like this, not terrible but also not noteworthy, I end up gauging their service... the manwho rung me up, the same guy running on their TV screen, seemed somewhat disgruntled. I'm unsure if it was the group ahead of meor what but he just wasn't friendly. I'm used to local places being engaged and caring about their customers. Those are the onesI prefer to patron anyway, this just wasn't the case here. The employees could care less if you come back or not (maybe anassumption but definitely the vibe). The pros, good protein to rice ratio, actually could use a little bit more rice but still,means good portions of protein. Decent quality ingredients, again not noteworthy or extremely fresh like expected but also notbad by any means. Anyway, if you're look to get a par poke fix, feel free to come here, otherwise their are several othersnearby that will serve you better tasting, more fresh ingredients with higher quality proteins and actually enjoy doing it. I heard about a sushi place with Okura quality fish, and I had to rush out and see for myself! I did not know that this little... venue was a part of the Okura family, and I was so excited to find out it was! The poke bowl I ordered was AMAZING!!! The ahiwas firm and fresh, and the girls behind the counter told me it arrives fresh and is hand cut daily. Nothing frozen here! Thearray of choices to add to my bowl was vast, and I took full advantage!! (For a small charge, I added avocado). The staff andclientele alike were friendly, and happy to be there. With Palm Desert's finest stopping in on their lunch break. (See pics). Iwill be back, and soon, because my office is right around the corner. Fast, fresh, sashimi, served instantly!! BOOM!!!!
