We had a small (18 person) dinner at Hillside Bistro after our wedding ceremony. Lisa was incredible to work with leading up to... the day - she was quick and professional in her replies - and was incredibly accommodating and laid back. We had a shared familystyle dinner and everything was delicious. The wine we selected was very good as well and paired so nicely with all the dishes.The staff went above and beyond and were so lovely. Overall such a nice experience!! Hillside Winery is an awesome experience. Amazing chefs! Great service and an amazing view. We ordered the 50 oz Tomahawk steak... with the full set of vegetables with it. Just incredible! Our appy's were the Naramata Charcuterie platter & the Burratta. Wow -amazing!!! The cow gravy boat was a fun touch. Desert was so tasty. Very tasty. Chef Evan - you were the master... This winery was amazing. Definitely one of our faves from the weekend. We went there as a large group (20), Social Run Club |... YVR, we had a reservation and they were ready for us and everything went smoothly. The woman that lead our tasting was greatwith her wines and talked about how they choose and design wines. The "Portfolio" tasting was just as advertised; a 45 minute experience that was relaxed, informative, and fun. Our host David... was a perfect guide and had great stories about the winery itself. The winery is beautifully located on both Naramata Road andthe Kettle Valley Trail, so it's a great location to walk or cycle to! Ps - the Rosé was a big hit! Read more
A gem in Naramata and the entire Okanagan wine region! Our group was running late for our tasting and they were kind enough to... still be able to accommodate us. Barbara welcomed us and immediately made us feel right at home. She took us inside to thetasting room and had 4 wine glasses for each of us ready. She poured each glass fresh right before tasting which wasappreciated. She had so much insightful knowledge about the history of the winery and spoke very passionately about the femalewinemaker?s philosophy and process. All of the wines were wonderful and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.The setting is gorgeous, overlooking the mountains and make. And as the name suggests, the vineyard sits right on the wide of ahill. We left with multiple bottles. A must visit! Read more
