I visited on 8/22/22 and had the worst customer service experience of my life. I was with a friend visiting the city who wanted... to try a cheesesteak right before leaving, so I recommended the best steak place, Chubby?s! I called to order for efficiency butmentioned that I was ordering to eat in and was told to come pick up in 20 minutes. We picked up our order and sat in the backof the establishment to eat when we were approached aggressively and without greeting by an employee saying that we are notallowed to sit in if we ordered for take out. While explaining that we weren?t aware, we were interrupted and dismissed by hersaying there are signs in the front of the store, and I said we needed a minute to gather our things while my friend got anotherbag since we ripped ours open. It was raining, it wasn?t crowded since it was 11:45am on a Monday, and we didn?t have anotherconvenient place to enjoy our meals, so I decided that we should just sit in and order another side and some drinks so we couldenjoy like we had planned. While explaining to one of the servers that we would be sitting to do that, the initial employeeinserted herself to stop my request. I am not sure if she was afraid of missing out on a possible tip, but I explained that wehad already spent money at the establishment and were trying to spend more money there just to be able to sit in. Good steak shop with a diner feel. Large bar with plenty of stools and a good selection of beer, and the draughts are ice cold.... They make a solid cheesesteak with freshly chopped steak and soft rolls. Not prefection but still one of the better choices onthe Northwest part of Philly. Read more
