Friendly and attentive staff. Quite knowledgeable about drinks. Decent menu. Happily accommodate some dietary restrictions (I... ordered the meat and cheese plate with no cheese and am quite certain I was given extra meat, which is nice). Would be 5 starsif I hadn't had to pay for a drink I didn't like (recommended by bartender). Chef Paley is, without a doubt, one of the most influential chefs in Portland’s culinary landscape. While Paley’s Place and... Imperial are well established reference points in PDX, Headwaters seems to have trouble maintaining both focus and consistencyin terms of their food and service. My anticipation and expectations were very high when the doors of Headwaters opened, butafter 6+ visits, the restaurant has not secured a continuous place among the top seafood establishments in the city. This is avery generous 4-star rating, but we sincerely hope Headwaters will one day achieve the consistency and quality that Chef Paleytypically delivers. B-/B Read more

We absolutely love this place. One of the finest seafood restaurants in Portland. It is located on SW Broadway in the historic... Heathman Hotel. Everything we ordered was absolutely perfectly prepared. The staff went out of their way to make sure ourexperience was top notch. Save room for their delicious deserts as well. Read more
Went there for brunch. There was a bagel snafu resulting in me getting a different bagel than I ordered but the fish was... excellent. Service was also good. I got the fish platter but next time would probably go for one of the benedicts or the friedoysters and bacon on Texas toast. That one looked pretty awesome. Read more
