Powerhouse Restaurant and Brewery Powerhouse is a family style brewery with an expansive food menu and solid taplist. The... itself resides in an old brick building that has played a unique part of Puyallup and the greater puget sounds history. Wherethe brewery is now used to be The Puyallup Substation, and was constructed for the Puget Sound Electric Railroad in 1907,supplying the power to the Interurban Electric Trolley that ran from Seattle to Olympia. The Powerhouse name pays tribute tothese roots. Their beer menu had a lot to choose from. While there we had their Raspberry Cider and Tangerine Wheat Hefe. Bothof which were heavily Fruited. We thoroughly enjoyed the Hefeweizen. The inside is fairly spacious. They have a large indoordining area complete with full bar, as well as a more secluded area where families can spend some time. They a have a patio areawith covered seating that they have open during the nicer months. They have a large menu that offers mostly American Stylefood. Burgers, Pizza, Salads, Pastas. We split the Katsu Chicken Burger and their Sundried Tomato, Artichoke, creamy pestopasta. Both were large portions and delicious. The chicken was more homestyle/buttery than anticipated but it was perfect afterspending the day at the beer festival. The staff was friendly and attentive and they made sure we were taken care of. We willdefinitely coming back. Read more

For a party of 9 we were told 40 minutes wait. We had 5 children with us but we were willing to wait that time as its pretty... standard. We waited in the parking lot and checked in with the waitress after about 45 minutes. They said our table wasn'tquite ready. We saw a large party leave 10 minutes later and we headed in. They claimed they tried to call us and we didn'tanswer. I had no missed calls. They had given our table away and could add us to the list again. It would be another 40 minutesto an hour. Hard pass. We will not ever be back. Went to another restaurant and got us right in. Served us immediately and wespent well over 200 dollars. We will not be giving this place a second chance. Read more

So this is like the 5th time they have been out of pizza dough! Pizza dough is not a hard item to have, maybe have some frozen... or maybe take pizza off the menu? Let me add the we sat outside, the weather was perfect. The sun set around 830-900 pm.....nooutside lights were working. The sweet girl who took our order said that once again the lights are not working. So we had to useour phone to finish eating and to pay the bill. I remember when this restaurant first opened! So much fan fair and now it's sodisappointing! Thankfully the staff is nice, but the food will not make me want to come back. Read more

Love the food but the service is terrible. It made me feel like I was bothering them for asking for my food. Had to wait to be... greeted, waited for my bill, waited for a copy my bill, has to ask for utensils and a bag. Something that should have taken lessthan 5 minutes took over 15 minutes. Very frustrating especially since there were 3 workers all looking at me waiting. I hopeyou can do better with service. Read more

The best chips and salsa -- so much so that we bought an order of sales to take home with us and made a pizza with it. And I... also love their beer selection and architecture. It's an old electrical power station and everything is electricity themed ???? Read more

Well after moving from spanaway, this place has always been on my radar from having their beer at rainier growlers up the hill.... I was not disappointed, we decided on nothing but appetizers and because my fiance always talked good about the fire chicken, iwas pleased to see a dish on the menu to have it as an appetizer. We got the calamari, breast of fire, the wings and pretzel. The wings were the ghost pepper pineapple and I would recommend the. The flavor was more on a BBQ sauce side but there'sdefinitely ghost pepper in there, but I like spicy things and it wasn't too hot for me. The best part of the wings were theyseemed to be hand cut so you could tell someone in the kitchen actually prepared them(to me at least) the fire breast came withthe perfect amount of bread to dip and the sauce my fiance talked up didn't let me down. I wanted to drink it straight it was sogood. Creamy and spice with very well all balanced flavors. And the calamari didn't disappoint either. It was all wrapped upwith a very nice waiter Brandon, he was very nice and made it very welcoming and loved that we were doing all apps. The beer wasgood as well. I really enjoyed the hazy whats hop to love, got the Meeker and the hopporator and on untapped they were all abovea 4 for me. I will definitely come back for the fire chicken and beer each time. The decor was really cool too as I doelectrician work and seeing the old school meters were very nice. Read more

Stopped in for lunch. Super cute, funky atmosphere. Attentive wait staff, great burgers and good beer options. Shuffle board and... some other games upstairs. *Edir to say I still love this place! Reliably good food and good beer. Stop in on a Thursday for $3pours, can't beat it! Read more
