I believe there can be no finer Starbucks in the United States than the one on Hawthorne and Palos Verdes Boulevard, on PV. ... Where else can you watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean, with the planes leaving LAX far on the right fronting downtown L.A.with Catalina Island offshore (unless it?s too overcast...50% of the time), and San Vicente Lighthouse across the street. Thisfive dollar cappuccino is worth a million dollars to me. Outdoor seating with Cali-style heaters, the inside is kept fresh &new, so it has wireless charging for phones and s clean bathroom with plenty of ?Bux merch & friendly California staff. Worst experience so far with Starbucks. There was no one in line ahead or behind me. Jessica felt it was necessary to finish her... conversation with a Co worker before taking my order. Once she saw me she didn't say hello or welcome to Starbucks, nothing.Once I said hello since she clearly was not going to she just asked what I wanted. I asked for a pour over. She rolled her eyes.Then she put one spoonful of the wrong coffee in before adding 7 spoonfuls of the correct kind. Maybe 8 spoonfuls is normalnow. There was an empty carafe of half and half and when I asked for fresh half and half she didn't answer with words but againwith rolling her eyes. Then she slams the cold carafe on the counter and walks away to go talk to her friend. She may havebeen having a bad day or whatever but I wasn't, I was actually enjoying my break from work. I don't get why Starbucks hiressuch apathetic people these days to represent their premium brand. I know this isn't the norm because I actually worked atStarbucks while in college so I get it.
