OMG. Food is amazing. Vibe is perfect. Made reservations down the street in a well known restaurant that was sold recently.... Didn't know this. Place so different, so we left and came here. Resurrected the evening. Thank you to Debbie our server formaking us feel welcome and special for our celebrating dinner! Read more

This is one of my favorite places ! They have a $30 three course menu between 5 and 7 which has great options and can't be beat.... My favorite thing there has been the salmon with squid ink pasta and the homemade churros. Yum! Read more

This restaurant used to be a go to when going to SD. We had friends in town and decided to meet then down in SD for the weekend... and treat them to dinner here. Unfortunately, it looks as though there's a new chef, who seems to be cutting corners on a fewdishes. Our prior favorite was the shrimp tamale. It used to be fantastic. We ordered it at our most recent visit and it was dryand clearly had been sitting in a warmer for hours and hours. We sent it back hoping for a better one and the next one came outthe same. Of course, tamales must be made ahead of time, but there are ways of keeping it warm without drying it out or doingbatch cooking throughout the day. Overall, the food experience has taken a few steps backwards. The flavors just simply weren'tthere. The drinks were wonderful and so was the service. We had a great time but wished the food was as it was before thetransition with the new chef. Read more

Really excellent place. Great food, mixed drinks and wine. Happy hour and daily specials. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals,... ambiance and staff. Quaint outdoor seating with plenty of heaters to keep you warm on the chilly San Diego evenings. I highlyrecommend you try this place in the heart of little Italy Read more
