I went to visit this restaurant on Taco Tuesday. Its a vibrant & hip place. Love the decor & colors. There is also a 2nd... level. The bartender was a very nice gentleman with great customer service. I had a house Margarita drink. The tequila was ahouse recipe which was pretty good. Then I had the 3 tacos soft shell special special. It was so good lots of flavor in it. This was a lovely spot to have happy hour and watch the beautiful San Diego sunset before flight home. The happy hour has pretty... good deals and we found a lot to love on the menu including the drinks. The service is conceptually that of a music pumping,fast paced, high-volume , Mexican resort nightclub. Quite different than many mellow places we’d been into but lots of fun andenergizing. The Tacos were killer. Lots of great flavors and a bunch of menu options. The place was packed, long line but fairly fast... seating. The only issue was the service. Servers were on overload and it took over 40 minutes to get our two orders of tacos.The seating was hard steel, super uncomfortable but effective so you don't stay long. Very noisy. Good food, but with all theother factors, probably would not return with so many other choices. Read more
This place was alright. Definitely a younger crowd. Short wait but very crowded and a 90 min limit not that I needed that amount... of time. I got the Nachos which were really good. I got the flat of tacos only one I liked was the surf and turf. The enchiladaswere edible but I was not a big fan of them. If you are drunk and like a Mexican cantina scene this is a fine place. I’m never disappointed by the flavor this place delivers. I had the Short Rib Wet Burrito. I loved the texture of the short... rib meat. Also, the spiciness of the hot sauce was well balanced giving flavor and spice. The breakfast burrito was delicioustoo. Great flavor and well seasoned. However, presentation could use more work. There was only one big issue. I got my food inonly a few minutes. Whereas my friend got theirs 20 minutes later. Why serve one dish only to have the next person wait on itfor 20 minutes? The issue here is timing. Keep track of what’s being sent out at what time. There must be a system, otherwiseno one will know who’s been served and who’s starving. Read more
GREAT PLACE FOR DRINKS!! I tried this place out today because I wanted cocktails and it did NOT disappoint. They were some of... best cocktails I've had in awhile and the bartender was very chill. Loved this spot. It is loud and very upbeat, but there is an outside seating area that is quiter. The food was amazing.... Everything we ordered was great. They have good happy hour specials. There is a wait to seat but expected due to how good it is.Bathroom was very clean, note is was very hadicap accessible but is only one stall. Read more
Listen, if you have family or friends in town, bring them here! I moved to the area 5 years ago and this will always be my go to... place in the downtown area. The pork belly bites are my absolute favorite. The dirty fries are delicious. Come during happyhour. Read more
