While the salmon skin salad was above average, the protein roll was very soft in texture, and the tamago (egg) had no egg... flavor. Decent sushi restaurant though you should be aware that a large screen played Fox News throughout our meal. Read more

Fantastic little hidden sushi place. We don’t always get out to San Diego but when we do always make it a point to stop here.... Their fish always tastes really fresh and the protein rolls are worth a try. Highly recommend. Read more

This is probably the best sushi spot I've been to. Several friends who were stationed in Okinawa swear by this place, and even... though I'm a sushi philistine, I loved everything I ate here. It is small, so seating can be a bit of a wait, but the staff isamazing and the food is second to none. Any roll you get will be the best one you've had, maybe ever. Read more

Our waitress was very patient and attentive. My 7 year old says it was "great!", he loves sushi... My 5 year old ordered the... teriyaki chicken kids meal twice! She says "I liked the rice with the yummy sauce" (eel sauce). Their mom and I ordered theheart attack twice, it was the bomb! Jason roll was new for me. Raw fish with spicy peppers on the top and crab meat on theinside, it was ok. Cold peach Saki was sweet and strong!!! 9% I think. Strawberry Macaroon w/ green cookie was so good. Weordered 7 rolls plus the 2 kids meals and drinks, I think we paid like $150 + tip. Easy parking. All in all, my favorite spot inNorth County SD. Read more

This was our first time dining at Kyodai Sushi. We went for lunch and had the salmon bento box lunch special and the protein... roll. Both dishes were outstanding! The tempura was fresh and crispy and the tempura sauce was the best I've ever had. Staffwas friendly. The only kind of negative is that the tables outside are for the public, not associated with any of the manynearby eateries, so they don't serve outside. You have to order take out and they bring it to you. I don't care for the wasteof packaging.... that said... We'll be back! Read more

Food is 4/5 Service 5/5 We had the sunflower and baked sushi as well as dinner entree of grilled beef. It came with miso soup... and salad. My initial purpose of coming here was for a bento box unfortunately when we came the lady said the closet they havefor bento is the dinner menu. Read more

It's my first time at Kyodai Sushi though we came in after the lunch rush. I enjoyed the lunch combo where you choose a roll and... other things you like from the menu columns A & B. Before that they serve you hot miso soup. Then everything comes nicelyorganized in a tray. My husband eats there often with his co-workers; today he ordered a Chirashi Bowl, one of his favoriteswhich includes a miso soup and salad. We both had strawberry lemonades. The food is tasty, fresh and affordable, with just theright amount of seasons and spices. Because some Japanese restaurants overdo on these ingredients you end up not tastinganything. We had the owner Jane serving us today. She's very kind and efficient. Also the employees' uniforms are clean andlook presentable. The parking lot has small spaces and fills up quickly during lunch. But there's a large Home Depot parkinglot connected to it and it's easier to find parking there. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant. Read more

Surprisingly good! I'd been looking for a close sushi restaurant for over a year, and have been constantly disappointed. This is... the first place that didn't charge an arm and a leg, and had pretty decent quality! I didn't try their more traditional sushi,ad the chef specials were a pretty good deal and I wants to see how their take on rolls. Enjoyed every bite! Read more
