Mexican food cravings - 100% satisfied ????? we left with our stomachs super full. Everything was just so on point. Quesadilla... ???????? Tacos ???????? Chips and salsa ???? I?d been disappointed by my San Diego taco experience up until I visited this place. Surf and Turf tacos were excellent, would... get them again in a heartbeat. The tortilla chips also appear to be house made and the best I?ve had in a while. And the housemargarita was one of the best I?ve ever had. Also tried the carne aside fries since it?s a San Diego thing. It was good andhearty but prob wouldn?t get it again. Good service and cool vibe overall. Quick service. Nice outdoor patio seating. They were accommodating to large group with small kids. I loved there guacamole and... potato taquitos. Veggie fries were a surprise hit, soft fries with great mexovan toppings. Other food like tacos had too muchguacamole in it, just not something I enjoy in my tacos. Went in summer of 2021. The food was incredibly delicious. My mom is typically not a big eater. More often than not, she has... trouble finishing half of any plates when not eating at home. But my mom devoured that quesadilla, so this place will get somebonus points just for that. The burrito is also great. Frozen margarita is a must during the summertime. Read more
Best margarita I?ve ever had and such a great vibe. The food was delicious, the drinks delicious, everything delicious. Portions... were huge and there was so much selection especially when it comes to tequila and margaritas. The waiter was friendly,constantly checked on us, and split our bill as requested with ease. We barely waited for a table and our food came quickly evenwith how crowded the restaurant was. Big time recommend for people visiting San Diego. I would 1000% go back. It was my first time to La Puerta and it was incredible!! We sat sat outside on the patio, which it was a beautiful evening. Our... server was friendly and personable! Looking for a quick meal mid-Saturday afternoon but wanted quality food in a nice environment. Tried this place and was very... pleased that I did. Very happy to be seated at the bar, rather than wait for a table or booth, and ordered some steak tacos anda local craft beer.
