We were looking for a local place to grab dinner, and I’m so glad we checked out Bar Bistro. As others said it looks very... unassuming from the outside but don’t let that fool you. All the food we had was lovely. We sat outside on their patio byourselves which was great for our 4 year old to walk around while we waited for our food. Very attentive staff, and fooddidn’t take long to arrive. We had the korean pork belly, wagyu beef burger, mussels, and risotto. They even have a kids menuwith very generous portions. Wow! What a great spot for dinner, drinks and dessert! Zac answered our questions about each dish, smiled and made us feel so... welcome! The food was on point! Try the Korean pork belly and the lavender creme brulee! We went all our with apps, entrees,dessert and cocktails! The menu was not outrageous for the flavors! Read more
I am so glad I found this place. It doesn’t look like a fancy place from outside, but inside is well decorated and modern.... Deep fried brie is simply amazing… and Paella was fantastic as well!!! A pleasant place to have some drinks and decent food.Just try!!! Read more
Me and a girlfriend went here for an early dinner and drink. We order these cute drinks. A little too sweet for my taste, but... still good. The food was great. The fried frie was on point. I also got the pork belly which I loved. I am giving it a 4 starreview because the location of this place was surprising. The vibe is relaxed, but also trendy. Parking was great though. Read more
What an absolute revelation! I came here with a coworker for a random Tuesday dinner. We had the pork belly, elk sliders, and... birria flatbread. All were lovely. The elk was perhaps a bit dry but still quite nice. We had mains of the ribeye and mushroomrisotto. These were both immense dishes! Wrapped up with lavender creme brulee and tres leches. I have been exploring the Tacoma area for the past 2 months and Bar Bistro is THE gem I was looking for. You can drive an hour... to enjoy an amazing experience there, you won't be disappointed. The vibe and look inside the place are totally unexpected forthis location and you will love it! Food looked beautiful on the plates and was delicious! Food, drinks and service were great. We enjoyed the muscles and spicy prawns. Both very delicious! The campfire drink is must... try! It is topped with two roasted marshmallows and has a sugar rim. The staff are very friendly. Read more
