I'm a local so I go there to have fun periodically, it never fails. The lounge has the latest gambling games that see a lot of... action so there is always one or two machines ready to pop.on the weekends I've never had a problem getting a dance if Ichose, actually gents- always more rowdy women in there than anywhere else in the Dalles, consistently. The staff is a fun bunchto hang with and the prices are better than the average comparison on drinks.all in all,a fave of mine to just pop in once inawhile, couldn't be a more convenient location. I must confess that we didn't stay there but did take pictures of the bridge! They had some cool old buildings behind Shiloh Inn... that apparently used to be a Church. There is a sign warning of rattlesnakes in the buildings but we didn't hear anything justwalking through. A good location and seems to be a nice place to stay. Read more

Rooms are okay, definitely not the highest and and definitely not the worst I've ever seen. Prices are decent, staff was... friendly enough. I can't comment on how well the staff cleans your room when you stay there because I typically hang a do notdisturb sign and don't bother having them clean the room during my stay (I typically just do that myself when I stay at hotels, and I'll contact the front desk if I need new towels). Location is nice and the price for a room is good. Read more

Nobody cleans your room. No clean towels. Had to call the front desk to have some delivered to our room after a long days work.... Nobody takes the garbage out. We threw it in the hall then someone took it away. No hand soap. Only one light in the room.Laminated floors that probably haven't been mopped in God knows how long. Would've gave it a one star rating but the airconditioner worked really well. They have a restaurant here but we never went there as the prices are way to high. As for thehotel, you get what you pay for. As for the restaurant, you just get taken. Read more

The floors were gritty in our room so we couldn?t walk barefoot. There were too many kids staying here during our stay. We woke... up to children screaming at around 9pm. There was a strange drawing of a planet on our window. Cum stain on our bed?? Wecouldn?t comfortably get into our room because there was a crowd of angry children and parents loudly arguing in front of theentrance. The shower water boarded me and my husband. This was supposed to be our honeymoon! Not very honeymooney if you ask me!Thanks Shilo Inn (sarcasm) Read more

The room was okay. It needs some updating. The lobby smelled musty, and the carpet needs desperately to be replaced. I don't... think stretching would help. Check in was amazing! Aaron was by himself and busy, but treated everyone great and with a smile!Great job front desk Read more

We never even got a room after we waited at least 5 minutes at 1 in the morning. The person at the front desk was so swamped... that it just wasn't worth waiting any longer. The room rate suggests that the hotel will be clean and well kept. Unfortunately, the lobby has not been maintained. The carpet is stained and much of the paint is chipped. The chandeliers have warm, cool, andmissing bulbs. The couches and chairs in the lobby are old, drying out, and cracking, and the tables are chipped and worn. Therewere also holes in the wall that looked like something had been pulled forcefully from the wall. We won't try Shilo Inn again,it was very disappointing. Read more

As soon as I checked in I was informed that the laundry room and gym were closed because they had been vandalized. That was the... only reason we chose this over competing hotels. Then there was a sign saying they were short staffed. That's the Inn's problemto solve. I paid for a room and I expect to get the service I paid for. Breakfast is limited and don't expect anything in theway of choice. They have one person at reception doing breakfast and checking people out. The on site restaurant is terrible andnot family friendly. In fact they literally kicked us out because we had our child with us. To top things off, there are noexternal locks on the building doors to get into the hallway entrance to the rooms even though the building is mere feet fromthe street. Read more
