Five of us visited on Sunday early evening and were seated outside on the roadside patio. They weren't super busy on arrival but... most outdoor seats were taken up by 7-7:30 so definitely book in advance. Naturally, you must order cocktails here, the ones wetried were great (Sakura Sour and Coco Chanel) but they had run out of ingredients for two of the more popular drinks - bitdisappointing as it's still very much a summer weekend and post-lockdown, a good time to be stocked up! Food here is genuinely good and homemade from fresh ingredients. Soups are homemade and hearty, a light meal in... themselves. Service was efficient and polite. Restaurant is nice inside, old pub like. My one pet-peeve is they nickel & dimethe customers when their prices are on the high side. For example; fish & chips at $21.95 should not then have $2.99 tacked onfor a very small side of gravy which the server didn't mention was extra. Really !!? $2.99 for a very small container of gravy (see the size in the photo). I get Covid has been hard, but it was hard for the customers too. $2.99 gravy = 3 stars Read more
