I love butter chicken and garlic naan. I did order right before they were closing so the naan wasn't as fresh so that was my... fault. Other wise I would definitely recommend this place Read more

I order the chicken tikka masala and cheesy naan bread, and it was phenomenal. Very quick service, and even though dine in was... closed the restaurant was extremely clean and the man working the front was really friendly. Definitely will be going back moreoften Read more

The meal I purchase for $68 was the worst Indian food I've ever eaten, beginning with the wimpy papadum. Plating the food and... taste testing, led to it all going into the garbage. They didn't want a return customer, don't worry. Thanks for the Taj Mahal, couldn't mess that up. Read more

Just the nicest guy ever. I really enjoy the food. I live over my 6th ave but I will drive out to India Mahal over other... options. It?s kinda cool that there are still mom and pop like this in the area now that everything else is a chain, makes mefeel good spending my money locally. And hey, this business made it through the Covid closures, so clearly a bunch of otherhungry people agree with me Read more

There is no better Indian food in Tacoma. Flat out. The fact that the prices are super reasonable is just an extra. If you're... not sure what to order, try the sampler that they offer with meat dishes or veggie options. Every dish made me think the nextone couldn't be as good or better. Read more

Worst food and service . We ordered for veg pakora and the person in the cash counter suggested that samosa is freshly made and... readily available, which he said is their speciality. Waiting time for long , which is still ok, but the samosa that we receivedwas the worst ever I ever had . No salt, no taste and not even cooked properly . It seemed like made out of spoiled ingredients. The bill came out as 25% higher than what we saw on the menu . When asked he said they have just recently revised the price .They did not even mention about it when we placed the order . We felt cheated . I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone . I have come here more than a few times over the last 20 years. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes bad, price maybe a... little high. Today was the last time for us. Got take out a couple appetizers and three entrees for $64. It was all prettybad. What was supposed to be chicken korma was garbage, threw it out. We couldn't eat one of our samosas, it was fried withoutbeing wraped (see picture) also garbage. Not garbage but whar was supposed to be aloo Naan was cilantro Naan (something I wouldnot order). Add to this the guy running the place is kind of a jerk, he has been consistently rude over the years. It hasalways seemed like if it is slow he punishes the customers he has. So, you might want to be prepared to come away a bitirritated. Read more
