I had heard about this place from a friend and was in the area and decided to try it. It?s located just north of Broadway on... Main Street, near a number of different cafes, bars and other great shops and near the Mount Pleasant Community Centre. It?s afunky place with seating inside and the option to order in person or online for set pick up times. I ordered ahead and waitedfive minutes past my scheduled pick up time. I got a chicken wrap, a falafel wrap, some fries with sumac mayo and two drinks(mint lemonade and iced tea with orange citrus). The falafel wrap was filled with veg and pickles and the falafel were nice andmoist, but the wrap needed more flavour and sauce. The chicken wrap didn?t look too appetizing (all beige colours) and it took apage from the Greek gyro, adding fries inside the wrap. It had some sort of pickle (maybe jicama or daikon) and the chickenlooked like it was grilled. The flavours were fine, but it needed more texture and sauce too. The highlight for me was the mayothat came with the fries. It reminded me of the garlic sauce you get at Jamjar and I guiltily ate it all up. The drinks weredone well and were a good addition to the meal. If I went back, I?d try their bowl instead of the wrap and I?d think aboutadding different sauces (for an extra coat). That said, I still prefer my shawarma places where they cut the meat off a giantspit. It just adds another level of taste and the charred texture. Read more

Really delicious takeout place! We ordered two spicy chicken bowls as well as the side order of fries, falafel, and crispy... eggplant. We unfortunately requested to exclude the pickles, but didn't realize they didn't mean cucumber pickles. We wish thatcould have specified what type of pickles on their website when ordering, as we would have loved the pickled cabbage! The bowlitself was a generous portion of salad, rice, and chicken, all drizzled with a delicious sauce over top. Coupled with theeggplant, falafel, and fries, we were totally stuffed sharing two bowls between two people. The fries were so amazing and camewith the best garlicky dipping sauce. Amazing food, extremely tasty and delicious. We got the chicken wrap, eggplant wrap, and the fresh cut fries with sumac... mayo. The chicken was cooked to perfection, very juicy and lots of flavor. The eggplant was absolutely delicious. The frieswere amazing and the sumac mayo a perfect combination. Now i know why this amazing middle eastern resaturant was nominated bestcasual restaurant.
