It's easy to miss this spot if you're just strolling the street - look for the Cigar shop that it's connected too and you're in... the right place. It's spacious and beautifully decorated. Every staff member has been lovely in my 2 visits. I love thecombos/bentos and will be back. They seem to do everything well but it's more like a great everyday sushi spot vs aknock-your-socks-off experience. Read more

Food quality is great and fresh. We enjoyed very much the appetizers. The rice bed of the Sashimi bowl is too soft and wet.

best sushi i?ve ever had! the server was so kind and checked in on us occasionally. i loved that they served us both cold water... and hot tea in the beginning, and the food came pretty quickly too. the atmosphere inside was wonderful, and it was nice thatthe chefs and servers were all japanese as well, adding to the authenticity of the restaurant! Really excellent sushi! I was impressed by the beautiful plating. The fish is well selected and fresh, so tender and delicious.... What was most delightful was how well built their rolls are. Perfectly balanced flavors and no danger of it falling apart! Read more

A moment of sen... Truly good food is not only an occasion to make memories, but brings back old ones. The food here... transported me back to my childhood to some of my grandmother's food moments. More specifically with the tamago andshiso. Tamago, sweet egg, was done perfectly. Biting into it is suppose to be an experience with layers... litterally. As theegg cooks increasing number of folds is made. By gentle pan frying they are able to maintain a sweetness and suppleness to theegg. That finds itself between these layers. It doesn't taste fried, it doesn't tast eggy, it doesn't taste like custard. Ittastes uniquely right. Shiso distinquishes restaurants that are actually trying to be Japanese. This herbaceous leaf unique toJapan paired so well with the rice and sashimi. Speaking of which the rice had a wonderful gummy texture. It's vinegarsupported the oils of the sashimi. I can't find any complaint with the sashimi. All were like principles in a show. Theycomplemented each other and were distinct. I think the pictures exemplify the experience. A unique distinction with Sen isthat they provide grated ginger. I haven't seen this before. It provides a unique experience. Read more

Hands down this was the very best sushi I've ever had! The fish was so incredibly fresh, tender, and flavourful. I had the... chirashi don and while on the pricier side ($35) it could easily feed 2 people. The coconut ice cream was a perfect way to endthe meal. Great atmosphere, great service, and truly outstanding food. 10/10, would go back in a heartbeat! Read more

Quit frankly the best japanese Restuarant in the Victoria. Long time staff who understand their market and customers. Having... traveled to Japan many time, i feel they are more traditional and attentive to service as a aposed to other Japanese offeringson the island. Atsuki , there Berverage manager is very knowledgeable about Sake , and always sugest the best paring for myOmakase orders. Seasonal offerings always available. Read more
