Gone in multiple times early in the morning to beat the crowds. We have left both times with nothing as they only had 3 lanes... open. Most of your registers are self checkout...open them up! This was at 7 am and the lines were ridiculous! There were 2cashier's and 1 self checkout open! When said something to staff, they said get us more people to work. You have self checkoutlanes! Don't need more staff! Read more

Moving to SELF CHECKOUT ONLY has undeniably been a disastrous decision. Not only has this increased the checkout time and added... a frustrating user-interface checkout, but has made the whole experience uncomfortable and dreaded. It is comical you see policeand employees checking receipts to discourage theft. Now we are seeing employees awkwardly back at the checkout lines to helprelieve some of these issues. Truly a circus. I feel so sorry for the elderly who have to go through the issues related toself-checkout. It really is a shame because shoprite?s offer a lot of good things and have a strong customer base. I am certainI am not the only one who has decided to shop elsewhere to avoid these issues. Read more

The check out procedure is absolutely the biggest disappointment. They have converted almost all registers to SELF CHECKOUT. I'm... ok with that. BUT WHY ARE THE SELF CHECK OUT ALL CLOSED???????????? Now you have 1 register open with a cashier checking you outin the SELF CHECK out register. The cashier is standing where the shopping cart is. It's very awkward. There's no room for 2people to stand there plus the shopping cart? LIKE seriously??? At any given time there are only 2 self check outs open, meaningyou self check out, but there is this BIG BULLY woman (supposedly the front manager) and she screams at people for making amistake. I saw a situation where a confused senior citizen was struggling with the self check out and this BULLY WOMAN EMPLOYEEwent up to the senior citizen lady and literally ripped a product out of lady's hand and started giving her attitude. I couldn'thelp but to get involved and asked the BULLY WOMAN to calm down. The senior citizen lady had tears coming down. I never felt sosorry for a stranger. THE BULLY STARTED yelling at me that if she gets fired I'm going to have to pay her bills because all sheis doing is following procedures from the KENNY family???? I asked who is the Kenny family and was advised its the people whoown this shop rite. My advice to all senior citizens and people who want to be treated with dignity is to avoid this shop rite.I will not be going there unless the KENNEY's either bring the cashiers back or open more self check out registers. Also, acomment about the workers in the deli section...why an employee with long hair and beard not wearing protective nets like theyused to? I found beard hair or maybe pubic hair in my american cheese after it was sliced by this individual. Seriously!!! SoDISGUSTING!!! Wasted a pound of provolone cheese. In the garbage it went. GIANT and ACME you have a new customer. I alreadyopened ACME savings card online. THANK YOU. Read more

I have shopped in this store for probably 15 years now. Used to be great service, friendly staff and well stocked. Moving to all... self checkout is terrible. Most of the time several self checkout registers are not working and the lines are always bad. Thestore has gotten run down and the stock situation is terrible. Last week 4 of the 10 items I wanted were not in the store. Thedigital coupon thing is hard to use and unreliable - items don't come up priced correctly. This store needs some TLC and someattention to detail. Read more

Shopped here for a couple years and loved it . Loved the music, the selection. Not anymore. Got rid of all cashiers....no self... check outs open......only 2 lanes to get checked out. Shoplifting problems....checking receipts. Staff hawk over you while youinsert your credit card to make sure you pay. It is a real shame what is happening to that store. I can no longer shop there. Sosad. Read more
