We had the soup Cream of Broccoli good but not hot room temp. Classic BLT good cole slaw delicious.
So what do you do when it's Memorial Day and all your favorite local breakfast hotspots are all packed with a 2 hour wait? You... get in the car and drive out to Absecon for the Phoenix Diner! Had never been there before until yesterday at the suggestion ofmy husband and I was pleasantly surprised and pleased! I love diners. I always say I'd pick a local diner over a 5 star whitetable cloth restaurant any day. And I would happily eat at Phoenix again! It's so bright and perky inside. Their menu is HUGEand everything sounds delicious. Our server was Jen and she was wonderful all throughout. Their pastries at the counter looklarger than the Megalodon and we were going to take some home but the lady at the counter was too snippy to the people ahead ofus so she turned us off from that. I will say their pancakes were made perfectly and the sausage was also tasty. It was a goodmeal, Jen was great, and the decor is bright and welcoming. Would definitely go back for more. Read more
I give 2 stars only because the eggs and orange juice was fresh but our steaks were old and home fries old and reheated ..... Wouldn't recommend this place . Read more

The breakfast was OK. But the experience I had with the manager after was unbelievable!! After talking to her and having a nice... conversation about my anniversary which was that day. I told her I wanted to get a couple of the pastries for a snack back atour hotel, for later that night. My wife and I picked which ones we wanted. I said great wrap them up and put them in the boxand we get going I said. She said sorry we don't wrap them? I said no you don't understand we are going to leave them in the carall day and would like them wrapped to stay fresh for later. Great thanks.....nope we don't wrap them. I said we'll your muffinsare wrapped and other things are wrapped? Well we don't wrap those...I said ok I'll wrap them could I get some plasticwrap....or foil then. Nope! It's too expensive she said. I said ok I'll give you an extra $2 then. Great....nope. I said ok I'llgive you an extra $5 like a tip. Great just get me something to wrap them so there fresh, plastic wrap , foil, even bag orsomething....nope! SO I SAID CAN I HAVE YOUR OWNERS NUMBER...NOPE HES IN GREECE. I SAID I WILL NEVER EAT IN THIS RESTAURANTAGAIN. The manager said ok have a nice day....now I know when we got there 1/2 the restaurant was closed up. And the other 1/2, 2 people eating in it at 8am!
