Great dinner! We got the Calamari, Fried Shrimp and Peel and Eat Shrimp for appetizers that came out extremely fast. Very... impressed. For main course I had meatloaf and my friends had grilled chicken and rib plate. Overall while sampling everyone'splates, the food was very flavorful and fresh. Read more
1885 Grill provides amazing service, family friendly atmosphere with great music as a backdrop. Our waitress was knowledgeable... and suggested a few of her favorites, so we enjoyed trying a little of everything suggested. We chose smoked salmon andartichoke dip with pita bread and thickly breaded fried green tomatoes, homemade chow chow with pimento cheese as ourappetizers. For entrees we had a really good spicy shrimp and creamy grits, lightly seasoned grilled ?fish with a nicel capersauce with two sides, meat seasoned collard greens and elbow macaroni in a light cheese sauce garnished with bread crumbs.Lastly I chose mushroom and herbs over creamy grits with chicken and kale. The herbs were very strong (reminiscent of wellseasoned Thanksgiving turkey) it was light and distinct. Food was excellent. Live music. Vast seating. A ton of staff. I had the blackened chicken pasta. The sauce was perfect. The... chicken I would say is perfect by itself in the sauce it was a bit too salty. Brussel sprouts were delectable. Other items atthe table. The Burger patty looked expertly cooked and seasoned. Fried green tomatoes had a interesting pairing on top of them.I would say a slaw and cheese/pepper mixture. I though it was a bit much but others at the table enjoyed them. Critical: Forrestaurants of this caliber, management needs to be making sure the wait staff and cooks are representing the businessappropriately. Checking on tables and getting feedback from the customers. This is the only thing I felt was missing here. Ialmost removed a star for this factor. The shrimp and grits were full of savory flavors. Seasoned perfectly. There's a choice of Adluh stone ground grits cakes or... creamy grits.The pimento grits were also delicious. Must try the Pecan pie bread pudding. It is served with a warm sweet sauceand whipped cream. Along with cinnamon ice cream. Our server provided great service. Read more

A GREAT addition to historic Acworth’s excellent restaurant fare - and this one is open on Sundays! Food is delicious -... especially the Southern fare and sides.
