I was here with my friend having a few drink and the lady that was bartenders was extremely rude throughout the entirety of our... stay here. The food was delightful but in no ways will this bar ever receive my service again. First. The waitress was extremelycold and uncaring about customers. Second when we were getting the bill we didn't leave a tipdue to lack of funds. She proceedsto call us stingy, and complain to other customers about our dine in habits. At this point I've had enough and lashed out at herfor being so rude and disrespectful. I really regret writing such a negative review for a new local business in Ajax as I really do go out of my way to support. ... None the less, the wings had absolutely no taste what so ever. The server tried her very best but significantly lackedprofessionalism and basic server training - I believe this can be rectified with appropriate training. None the less, therestaurant is spacious and has lots of potential. However the appropriate changes need to be made sooner rather than laterbefore. I hope the manager and owner see this as constructive, I personally will not be returning. Read more
This is a great local spot. The inside is really nicely done and it's a great place to watch a game. Service is always friendly.... It's never really busy but it should be so if you live in North Ajax support these guys. We had a fried chicken sandwich and aturkey club. Fries are really good. Read more
My exploration of restaurants in Durham continued at The Emperor in Ajax. Apparently, they opened early last year but I haven't... heard of them before now. Their menu seems to have typical pub fare, with decent bar selections. Hot Beef Dip is something Ihadn't had in a long time. At $11.99 with fries, it seemed like the right choice. The sandwich wasn't bad but the fries were thereal star. They were nice and crispy, just how I like them! My server was friendly and efficient, checking on me severaltimes. Every time that I?ve gone in with my partner we?ve had a great time. The servers have always been really kind to us and it?s... been a good vibe all around. We do tend to go on the later side when it?s less busy so maybe we get premium attention lol butoverall it is always a good time. We?ve literally only had one negative experience with one specific server, but because of allthe countless other positive experiences we kept returning because we knew it was just a one off type of event.
