I was in town for work and this place was recommended, so we (3 colleagues and I) went for dinner. The meals were just okay, but... the desserts were exceptional, especially the strudel. We wound up getting more strudel for carryout the next day. Read more

I haven't been to the New Era for many years! I used to meet my Mother for lunch there, back in the late 60's and early 70's!... She worked at General Tire, just around the corner (at that time, before moving the Research Lab to Gilchrist Road). It was justas I remembered, absolutely amazing! First time visit. Ordered chicken paprikash to go. Was watery with little flavor. Chicken so overcooked bones were completely... separated. Home fries were equally bland. Bread was good. Strudel wasn't as it has cabbage? Looked it up and yes, Hungarianrecipes allow. On a positive note everything was packaged well. Read more
