I lived in the Bay area 20 years ago and I was a regular there eating very often....They were the BEST Mexican restaurant I had... ever had the pleasure of dining in then and even now to the present day........ I got to know the Quintero family who owned itand was being run by the 2nd and 3rd generation..... This particular trip saw my return to the Bay area for a vacation and Ijust had to revisit Acapulco......I found out that unfortunately the restaurant had been sold 12 years ago and was now calledAcapulco Nuevo....... So I ordered my usual fare and - alas - the food was good - better than a lot of Mexican restaurants Ihave tried - but it was not the original Quintero Acapulco.......
