Hubby and I parked here for our break, not the first time he's been here but it was mine. Ate here for dinner and breakfast the... next day. We sat in the bar for dinner and enjoyed hanging out with other truckers, Donna our bartender was awesome. Greatatmosphere. I had the cod and the husband had the brisket tacos. Oh and we also got the loaded spuds. Everything was excellent.Can't say anything bad about our choices. For breakfast the next day, we both got omelette's with the loaded hash browns and onthe recommendation of another regular trucker a side of the french toast. Again; can't say a bad thing about the food. Thefrench toast was amazing, food came out hot and fresh. I thought the prices were reasonable, we live in Colorado and thought noway we could eat breakfast the two of us for $36 like we did here. We spent $82 for dinner but we also drank, usually our billis half alcohol, half food. I thought the prices were on point for what you get. I don't recommend eating here. I had a deep fried cod 3 piece, skol fries and a coleslaw plus iced tea and it was almost $31!... The food was mediocre, at best, and you have to order at the counter (no waitstaff). They give you a table tent with a numberand bring you your food, which I had to go back and get my coleslaw (1 of 3 items I ordered) and the server plopped it down withan attitude. I said, "thank you" and got no response. Last meal here for this old trucker! I used to get great food and servicehere, but I think those days are long gone! Read more
The food really wasn?t good but I should have expected that from a gas station food stop in the middle of nowhere.The cornbread... was the worst most dry cornbread I?ve ever had, the Mac and Cheese was hardly cheesy and mostly just noodles with no flavor, thetortellini was flavorless as well. The staff was grouchy and the atmosphere felt dirty, I?m trying not to think about what thekitchen is like given the seating area looked as it did. The only reason I?m giving this place two stars is because service wasfast and the food was cheap but hey we get what we pay for. Read more
