We?ve been for brunch and lunch and had amazing croissants and breakfast sandwiches. We ordered 2 pies for Thanksgiving and they... were the BEST pies we?ve ever eaten! Read more
I thought that based on the comments, it would be a good place to have coffee and eat a sandwich, it's a bread with cheese and... lettuce, all cold... a normal croissant and I asked for something stuffed with spinach and it was ok. but for the price Ithought it would be much better. Read more

Not just another "coffee shop!" The coffee is awesome, as well are the pastries! Staff is super friendly and helpful with ideas... if you can't decide. Plenty of choices for every palate. Gourmet sandwiches and salads too! Read more

The Grounded is found off the beaten path of Alexandria and will require you to likely make a specific trip here if you don't... live in the general vicinity. Nevertheless, the trip will be well-worth the visit if you are coffee drinker, or moreimportantly, one who appreciates fine baked goods and sweet confections with their coffee. Now, to be honest, I've been heretwice and gotten a mocha and their standard cappuccino. The former was great and the latter was bit on the milky side and wasunremarkable. I look forward to getting one of their regular coffees and I've heard their lattes are the best which is not mypreference. But, let's talk about them sweets...the pumpkin bundt cake, the chocolate bundt are the best I've ever had....somoist and balanced with sweetness....much like that chain place but with a homemade mouth feel. The pumpkin cheese cake wasperfection...again, balanced perfectly with pumpkin flavor and cheesecake texture. The chocolate bread puddingnwas myfavorite...eaten the next day, I heated up for 30 secs in the microwave and added a touch of vanilla ice cream. I think for thisitem alone the trip here is worth it. If you are not a bread pudding fan, I believe this item could change your mind. At thewriting of this review, I have not eaten my stuffed oreo cookie yet, see picture.
