It's a long walk from the Metro, but my reward was my favorite Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich ($13). Loaded with meat, the sauce... makes it deliciously messy. Unfortunately, no room for dessert. Read more

My first time here and I had heard great stuff about the food. But the heavy set woman bartender is extremely rude and nasty for... no apparent reason and seems annoyed for no reason. I literally got off work and walked over for some late lunch. It seemed tome she was nicer to the men and not the woman. Rubs off as a little racist to me. Will let all my co workers not to come hereanymore. Too bad cause the food if great. Read more

So before I start, I would like to say that my husband found this restaurant and mentioned that they had some southern food.... Which I was excited because, we are from the south. I really was happy to see cajun options. I love cajun food. Well if you arelooking for good or at least decent I will not recommend this location. I ordered the Jambalaya Pasta and will say that I wasvery disappointed, no flavor and bland. My husband ordered the catfish platter and it was okay. Our waiter was very nice andhelpful. We also ordered fried pickles and not a fan. They were cut really thin. The side sauce was very tasty. Read more

DC restaurants never cease to amaze me, they almost always delicious and worth it! So, I ended up here for a work event and... glad I did! I had an adult beverage, Frickles (fried pickles), low county shrimp and sausage, and the peach pound cake withbutterscotch syrup and vanilla ice cream! Frickles- were not made with the traditional dill but the bread and butter version. It was a welcomed surprise and I couldn?t stop eating them! Crispy, salty, sweet, and tangy! Low County Shrimp and Sausage- Ichose this fish because I love grits! Am I glad I did, it was marvelous and I ate every bite. One gripe, those shrimps were notfrom any ?low country? I suspect they were from Costco and farmed somewhere in Taiwan? but I don?t have any proof. Dessert-Peach pound cake with ice cream dressed with homemade butterscotch! I wish it would?ve had a better balance of peach pound caketo ice cream, but the butterscotch syrup made the dessert. If I was on death row and this my my last dessert I?d die content! Read more

If you live South of Alexandria (Lorton, Woodbridge, etc) do yourself a favor and head down Route 1, make a right on Mt. Vernon... Hwy to Route 400 and take a scenic drive to Southern 815. When 400 becomes S. Washington street, you?ll find this gem on yourleft. They said they had the best Catfish Po Boy on this side of the Mississippi and I believe them. The French roll was sosoft and flaky. The catfish fried crispy and seasoned lightly as not to overpower the taste of the fresh fish. If you want toturn it up a notch, take the pickled coleslaw that comes with the meal and put it on top of your Po Boy for a platinum levelexperience. It came with crispy fries as well. I?ll definitely be visiting again to try other menu items. We also had the friedgreen tomatoes which rival any I?ve tried in the area. I almost withdrew a star, however, because I didn?t like the peach poundcake at all. But we waited to eat it when we got home. Maybe that affected it. I don?t know. The ice cream was great thoughwhich is why I continued on with the five stars. Read more
