We were passing through Allentown and were surprised to find a highly rated Syrian restaurant. Look for the address as the... restaurant sign was hard to find. Parking is neighborhood parking. The food was excellent. We had the lamb kabob and humus,which were excellent. The service was friendly, the portions large, and the price reasonable. Halal just down 2nd Street a few blocks from Damascus, Aladdin going east on Tilghman Street and Sahara in Wescoesville to namea few. It's an embarrassment of riches, each with its own specialties, each with its own personality. They also mirror to someextent their own geographic origins, be it Syria, Lebanon, Turkey or elsewhere on the Fertile Crescent. Read more

I visited this restaurant for the 1st time while traveling in the area and was pleasantly surprised as everyone was very... friendly and the service was above my expectations. The food was definitely delicious and salad was fresh. If you are lookingfor a creative option to add to the mix, this one will not disappoint! I tried a shrimp dish, which was grilled to perfection(not rubbery at all). Pita bread was a great filler as well. I plan to visit again when I am in the area.
