To the young girl working in the drive thru at around 12:40pm, you should really not be so passive aggressive towards someone... that has an allergy. To tell someone it's impossible to put 5 ice cubes in a drink is an actual lie, for one. You just don'twant to be accommodating. And to suggest a different drink that doesn't require ice instead is ridiculous. All because you justrefuse to accommodate someone with an allergy. I, unfortunately have a rare allergy to the cold. If things are too cold, like adrink in my hand, I will break out in full hives. If something is too cold, I can potentially go into anaphylaxis. I have tocarry an epipen for this. I should not have to disclose my medical information to get something I asked for. Especially when I'mpaying for it. I ask for 5 ice cubes because I feel like it's my safest bet. If I say light ice, the cup gets filled half wayand I can't drink or hold it. If I say 5 cubes, I either get exactly that or a couple more, which is completely fine. Moral ofthis, don't be horrible. I?m not sure if this place knows what LIGHT ICE is. I have even been told before that for the new iced brown sugar oat shaken... espresso that if I wanted light ice they wouldn?t be able to fill the cup up or they would have to charge me extra for more oatmilk. The drink itself is already more expensive compared to drinks on the menu which use regular whole milk. I orderedsomething different but pretty comparable and asked for LIGHT ICE and of course I paid my extra 80 cents for my almond milk andyet this morning I still got an entire venti cup filled with ice. Top to bottom. I would think that a drink that costs me 7$because of my dietary restrictions I would actually get a decent amount of milk. Any other Starbucks I have visited has nevertold me I?ll be charged extra for more milk if I wanted light ice for this specific drink. Whenever I do visit this particularStarbucks I never get a ?hello how are you? or a ?thank you have a nice day?. Makes the experience just feel cold andintimidating? Update: June 24/2022 out for a nice walk with husband and puppy and we go grab a drink. I walk in to look at thenew cups, no one says hi or hello. Feel invisible for about 3 mins and again I know there are only two people behind the counterbut I?m also the only customer in the store other than someone sitting down. A ?hello, we will be right with you? would havebeen acceptable?.Asked for light ice in both of my $6 beverages and again 3/4 of my cup is full of ice. For a drink that costs6$ plus taxes I would appreciate more oat milk than ice. I didn?t pay for the ice. Tonight just solidified my decision to stayaway from this Starbucks. Their prices are also more than other stores. Same drink in Barrie cost $5.95 but cost 6.25 here?. Read more
