One of my favorites, and BYOB, yay! Very cute French bistro decor and atmosphere. Yummy crepes! Try the smoked trout one if... available, it\'s terrific. The owner is a great guy. Read more

I finally checked out the new French restaurant in the old location of Alice bakery in Ambler. Good ambience, great flavor! I... went out to dinner and had the salmon crepe and dessert with a cappucino. They had a demo tray of desserts and did some tableside fish service. Only con was that the restaurant is crowded/cramped. Read more

Took over a half hour just to place our order. An hour to get our appetizers. The food was very good once we got it. The... Steak et Frites was excellent, but 8 small medallions for $32 was way overpriced. I recommend going on an off night. Read more

Had the croque monsieur and it was very good! Sweet and savory and cheesy. My friend raved about her sweet potato fries.... Everyone is very polite and the location is nice. Will definitely be back! Read more

I attended Planchette last week and I ordered the Coq Au Vin (roasted Chicken in a wine reduction) which Was delicious, but do... be careful, as there are many tiny bones to choke on, and with sides that were boring at best...white rice with Zero seasoningand blanched string beans that were tough and \"stringy\"! A better choice may have been Asparagus... but I know the owner to besomewhat cheap, so string beans will probably be his only choice, ever! I ordered as an appetizer, the Escargot in a garlic andbutter sauce (normal) but at first I was given the wrong fork used for clams or mussels and when I called over, the less thanboring and Zero personality \"waiter\" and asked for a proper fork, I also informed him that 3 of the 6 I was served had snailsthat were missing in action...non existent! It turns out the owner came over and When I told him, he boasted to me that theywere Fresh snails that came In-The-Shell as opposed to those that are sold loose or shell-less and that are stuffed into theshell afterwards, and that during the cooking process they shrink and retreat back into their shell, making it more of a choreto dig them out... with even the correct fork. He took them to the kitchen (as if to retrieve the tiny snails) and came backwith 3 tiny shriveled snails on a dish and said...Violá! As if that solved the issue... of having to hold the greasy shell withmy fingers and search for non-existent snail meat! I\'ve eaten at some of the best French Restaurants in the US and have neverbeen served Escargot without tongs to hold the shell with, while plucking the meat out with a fork, so you can imagine how mucha fool one would feel sitting there turning an empty shell this way and that, searching for his appetizers and having to holdthe greasy shell with my fingers!! I even made the suggestion that he purchase the snails separate from the shells and to cookthem first and then stuff them into an empty shell for easier extraction...to which he said that Read more
