Went hoping that we could sit outside with our dog, but the benches were still all wet. However, the employees said that the... owner loves dogs. As long as our lap dog did not bark and become a nuisance, we were welcome to have her sit with us inside. Ilike the local feel of the place; it reminded me of a place I used to go to all the time when I was in college. We got the KenaiWhopper, Bacon Burger, fries, onion rings, and a blackberry shake. Seems I was so excited to eat I mashed the bun a bit before Iremembered to take a pic. We both prefered the Kenai Whopper over the Bacon Burger. Even against the bacon flavor of the BaconBurger, the pepper just made the Kenai Whopper in our opinion a better overall tasting burger. Fries were pretty standard, Onionrings were great. I personally like the really crunchy onion rings instead of the flakey battered ones so these were perfect. The blackberry shake had real blackberries in it. I would come here again. Great value that doesn?t skimp on quality. Read more

Artic Roadrunner, an authentic Alaskan staple open since the sixties. I can tell you right when I walked in I thought one word,... "Wow." The atmosphere and decoration is absolutely phenomenal. The old timey register where you order brings you back in time. And all the photos and memorabilia from the years make this place feel like home. And the food oh my it does not dissapoint. Igot the Kenai Whopper with bacon, large fries, the onion rings, and the homemade onion rings (which are incredible). After weordered all that food we went over to the condiment bar where they have hot pickles and normal pickles you can self serve andall the ketchup and mustard you could ever want. Once our food was done I couldn't believe how much was there was. It was awhole feast I didn't think I would be able to eat it all. But when it came too it, the food was so good I just couldn't stopeating. And after the fact I even got an oreo milkshake, creamy goodness in a cup with oreo chunks mixed in. The decor andatmosphere is top notch, food is great, and service fast. What more could you want from your favorite local food spot? Analaskan staple that everyone should try. Read more

Location is cash only. The food portions are fantastic and quite delicious. I recommend the Kenai double burger with a side of... fries. Burgers are cooked to perfection and smothered with toppings. Don't forget to load up on the free toppings. Theirhomemade pickles are wonderful. Fantastic place for some really great food. Read more

Absolutely amazing place! Wonderful service and fantastic menu. In addition to having an overwhelming sense of charm and local... roots, they offer outstanding customer service as well as a delicious menu. One small snafu is that they don't accept anythingbut cash. ATM on-site. I was blown away when I asked for a burger rare and it came out too rare even for me! Normally that justmeans a little more pink, but here it was truly rare! I sheepishly admitted my mistake and asked for a little more done, andthey made a whole new burger. Everything was so wonderful and enjoyable. Great place!! Highly recommend!! Only two suggestionswould be that they accept card. Seriously inconvenient, but I guess if I was a local I would just be used to it. The second isthat it would be cool if they updated pictures. I love the history of all the old pictures, but it would be really cool if somenew "regulars" were added to the wall. But then again maybe I don't understand the significance of those who are there.
