Best lunch in Anchorage. This place is SUCH a gem! Everything is delicious, and they have rotating specials (soups, sandwiches,... different baked goods) so there's great variety. Good coffee, too. Great atmosphere for brunch and coffee with old friends! Food was better than great, coffee was hot, and friendly smiling faces... behind the counter. Will definitely be paying this hidden gem another visit in the near future! (Most of my party had thesausage breakfast sandwich and all loved it!! Liked the local bakery feel of this place. Wish neighborhoods all had a local bakery like this. Options at this location were... not as abundant as with the other stop, but at least they were not out of baguettes. Had the monkey bread, seeded baguette, anda scone of some sort. Buttery scone, monkey bread could of been a bit more moist. Should of got the regular baguette but triedthe seeded. Wife didn't like the anise, but I found the seeded baguette strangely addicting. If I needed fresh bread and was inthe neighborhood I would definitely stop by again. Read more
GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS are delicious!! What a gem this place is, the owner came in with a smile and a Hello to all the locals, and... came over to me an out of town visitor to see if needed anything. I echo what another person said about the airports heights location. Out of things often and it just isn?t worth the drive out... of the way. I also agree that the hours are poor. Another issue I have is their sandwiches being pre-made, living little optionsfor lunch if there is something on the sandwiches I don?t like or can?t eat due to allergies.
