Just finished having dinner at Uptown. I haven?t been there in years and can say it will be several more years before I give it... another chance. Pros: Nice environment, staff was friendly and attentive (I had two waitresses during service and the secondone was great and was running the whole floor) Cons: Food was average for the price and the kitchen staff -read more belowabout that. I ordered wings as an appetizer and one of the burgers as an entree. The burger itself was fine, but nothing youcouldn?t get anywhere else for $10. My major issue came in with the wings. 10 wings for $14 isn?t a bad price, but still isn?tcheap. I had 4 wing that still had a fair amount of pink in them. Ate the other wings but let the waitress know they wereundercooked. Her reply was that something was wrong with the frier and another table had the same complaint. This worries me.If a kitchen staff knows there is something wrong with the frier and still serves food that can (in my case, was) undercooked,why serve it? I just accepted that I would pay for it and I did, but it still resonates with me that I paid $14 for someundercooked wings and a kitchen staff that was ok with that. Read more

Recent renovations have given it a clean and cozy feel. The staff is great but sometimes service takes a long while when the... place is busy for even have your drinks refilled at your table. The food is delicious and really makes this place enjoyable. Read more
